Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has a broken pinkie on his throwing hand and will be out four weeks, a team source told ESPN's Michael Smith.

Romo initially was diagnosed with a pinkie sprain in Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Veteran quarterback Brad Johnson, the Cowboys' holder on kicks, is Romo's backup.

The Cowboys have lost two of their last three games after starting the season 3-0

Michael Smith reporting its a broken pinkie.

Brett Favre played with a broken thumb on his throwing hand. Toughen up Yoko Romo.

Lets see what Brad Johnson can do. Romo will probably miss three games including the huge November 2nd showdown in the Meadowlands against the Giants. Lame.

Biggest game of the year in the NFC East is now nothing without Romo.

Wow, that is a rough loss for the Cowboys. Although he does make a lot of mistakes, Romo is still the best QB they have by far. I can't see them doing much with Brad Johnson in there.

They can win the next two games against the Rams and Bucs, but against the Giants on November 2nd in the Meadowlands they are screwed.

He'll be back Nov.16th for Washington.

I hate the Giants with a passion, but it gives me a certain amount of pleasure in seeing the Cowboys melt down. I'm sick of hearing about how good they are and the amount of Cowboy fans in the stands gave me flashbacks to the Steelers game last year. Eff the Cowboys.
