Funny thing is my boy is a DIEHARD Lions fan. We went to MoTown last year and it's going to become a yearly thing but I had to skip out this year due to the baby. Anyways, the weekend he chooses to go to MoTown this year is this game, the game that is blacked out. Talk about luck. I guess he deserves something for being a Lion fan. Not gonna lie I kinda cheer for them, he cheers for the Jets too, I guess it's the sympathy thing.

serphnx
The blackout rules are stupid. I'm surprised no local station bought up all the tickets.
The Gun Of Bavaria
The blackout rules are stupid. I'm surprised no local station bought up all the tickets. Companies have bailed out the Lions twice this year by buying 3000+ tickets on the last day to avoid the blackout. This time around it was 6000+ tickets available and no one wanted to bother. The Lions are pathetic.

I bet Lions fans are grateful for that. What a break--it's like getting an extra bye.

serphnx
I suppose the idea is if the fans can't see how bad the team is, maybe they'll come to the games. Kind of ass backwards imo, they'll probably all just get Direct TV and the NFL just loses money in that market if they won't air anything at all.
