Eh, i try not to get into the 'Oh, such n such player is better than the other guy' stuff too much. Sometimes ya can't avoid it tho i guess. I know both those teams tried to help their young QB's along with the run game etc., but man the flashes of greatness were there with both those QB's imo. Matter of fact, i hope they BOTH have great HOF careers.

I agree.

I will even go out on a limb and say at the end of his career Eli will have had a better career than older bro Peyton!

Eli manning is perfect for New York Media. the pressure he was under last year getting booed at home and still going out and play balls to the wall and win the SB.

but that is just one year right? wrong! he has been pulling comebacks like that all his life dating back to his college years

This is what I meant to quote.

I think that Eli has a beter supporting cast RIGHT NOW than Peyton has. The Colts are an OLD team and their age is starting to show on the field.

I give credit to Eli Manning for coming into his own towards the end of last season. He played great in the playoffs and deserved to go to and win the SB. You can't however just erase the struggles he had throughout his career before that. While Eli was having his head called for in NY, Big Ben was putting together all-pro seasons and winning a SB himself. Now, Eli may very well turnout to be a better QB eventually and he has had a great start to the '08 campaign BUT so has Ben (in MUCH more difficult circumstances) and based on what both QB's have done from there rookie seasons onwards, Ben IMO has been much better.

Bringing up college achievements also, couldn't possibly be any more pointless.

peyton never had any big comebacks before the patriots game in the playoffs the year colts won a championship

eli manning, however, is known was his big game heroics since his college days

i guess big ben is better than tom brady too since tom brady didn't exactly lit it up when he first came in the league

its not about who has the most stats uptil now its about if you had a choice between the 2 who would you pick

Yeah, Tom Brady didn't light it up. Won the SB in his 2nd season (First ever playing season) but didn't 'lit it up'. Okay.

:confused0058:

Also, I NEVER mentioned stats anywhere, I was saying who had performed better. I would choose Ben over Eli BECAUSE of the fact that I think he's a better QB. I think he's a better QB BECAUSE I think he's played better than Eli throughout career.

Really, what don't you get?

3-stats

1 - Ben's % is a lot better than Eli's. I think he is 44-17 while Eli is 36-26. So..

2 - They have both won 1 SB.

3 - Ben is again MUCH better when it comes to stats too. Eli has less TD's and more picks so again I don't see your point. Not to mention Bens stats get seriously affected by his 06 campaign where he was clearly injured throughout.

Overall, judging by performance and simply watching the two players, I think Ben is a much better NFL QB.

I think i just witnessed some Big Ben hate turn into Eli love... Not sure what to make of it yet... LOL

Anyways, yeah Ben has much better stats but wins are most important. Anyone who thinks Eli has more come from behind wins is NUTS imo. Look it up, not even close. Ben's 4th quarter majic is what makes him special.

I still think Eli is a fine young QB and hope the best for him tho.
