ECURB
Obviously we just don't know for sure yet, but its a serious issue for this team. Lets say we give up a 2nd round pick, were there any younger QB's out there available for that? Maybe not as explosive but younger and could be a long term solution? If there was NOTHING available... then I guess that helps Favre's case, if there was something available you have to wonder.
Ghost
If we had another QB, the Jets would of lost today.

Favre is the leader of late game comebacks. His INTs are becoming troublesome and gruesome to watch. What concerns me the most is Favre is down the field type of QB.Schottenheimer is making him throw sideline to sideline.WHY. I was opposed to going out and getting Favre but since he's now our QB I'm 100% behind him. My not wanting Favre was basede on his age and possible only 1 year rental and his tendency to throw p-icks. Favre lives and dies by the sword. Or in this case, pass. ZachEY
It's worth it because it means Chad Pennington is no longer starting, and even though he hasn't been horrible in Miami, that is a good thing for the New York Jets. On the other hand, it's difficult to get behind this trade completely as he's been all over the place. He looks old, and he's throwing the ball wherever he sees fit, without regard to who's catching it. When he buckles down, he's successful, it just seems unfortunate what it takes for him to get there, ie, us being down against a bad, bad team. serphnx
I blame Clemens. If he showed any competence whatsoever we wouldn't have traded for Favre in the first place.
