Alk
Punk is lucky Mike didn't put a foot in his a$$. I didn't even see what happened. Just turned to the game and I see Davis walking to the locker room. I assumed he was hurt again but the commentators said Singletary kicked him out of the game. Jetheelz
Where was BAKER and FRANKS today.Did I miss something............. Let me ask you this: "Where was Baker and Franks any day?" Chris Baker, the same guy who can't stay on his feet and upright in order to catch a pass? Bubba Franks, whose only real connection to this team is Favre? Neither one of them would have made a difference in this game.

#27TheDominator
Think there might be a reason that he got kicked out of the game? It's not usually because he is going to be a difference maker on the field. Singletary is inexperienced, but I don't think he'd try to discourage that. Jetheelz
Nfl.com is not offering any info at all on why he was kicked out of the game. I just looked up the 49ers message boards and from what is being said on there it was because Davis was acting like an ass after a penalty. http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/showthread.php?t=61160

Oh and meet Mr.Knowshon Moreno the Georgia BullDogs RB and Heisman Trophy candidate...........Thai Jet Franks was hurt. That happens sometimes. You know, like Jeremy Shockey. What were his stats again? Davis was sent to the showers because he committed a stupid penalty and Singletary called him selfish and uncoachable. He's been like that. I'm not sure if the move was designed to get the attention of Davis or the rest of the team

He slapped a Seahawk in the face and got a penalty....so Mike threw him off the field. Sounds to me like Mike has a problem with Davis because this **** happens in every game...it's called the heat of the battle. Singletary has been on the job for how many days? Did you hear his rant in the post game presser? How can you make that assessment of a player after a week on the job and toss him for something 500 players do every Sunday that didn't cost you the game? Did you miss the fact you entire team got their ass beat by a horrendous Seattle team,Mike? It looks like a dick move to me

Aqua4ever04
There's a lot more to coaching than just yelling at people. This is why Mike Singletary is an awful head coach. Why didn't they promote Martz? Hell, why did they fire Nolan in the first place?

He didn't just get there a week ago. I have no idea how good or bad of a coach he'll be. But I understand where he's coming from. Take your me-first attitude & leave it home. When you do dumb crap like that, the whole team suffers. I didn't see the game, but I'm guessing it cost the 49ers 15 yds for unsportsmanlike. And not a late-hit/judgment call. A player "venting" physically by slapping an opponent in the head is a lousy way to lose 15 yards. I think this is just a way for Singletary to assert himself to get players to listen. Their team sucks. Their season is in the crapper. It's not so easy to get a team like that fired up. Time will tell if he's done that. We'll see how the players respond I guess. I didn't even know he was on a coaching staff. I didn't say he was going to be a good HC. Truth is he has exactly the same experience Herm had when he was promoted: a position coach who also carried the title of "assistant head coach" whatever the hell that means. Just because he was a great player people may assume he knows more than he does. Part of the reason he was a great player was because of his physical skills; something that can't be taught, let alone yelled into a player. But I have no issue with him trying to push what buttons he feels are necessary to ignite players & get them into team mentality if he feels that's what's lacking. I think it's clear that - at least at this time - Mike Martz, douchebag that he is, is infinitely more qualified to be their HC.

Alk
Personally I like what he did. I wish Belichick would have done it to Wilfork last week after two straight personal fouls. Send them to the locker room so sit there and think how freakin' stupid they just looked in front of thousands of people.
