Gainzo
Did anyone see the call made late in the Eagles/Falcons game? 2:28 left, Falcons down 20-14, Philly is forced to punt. The Falcons punt returner lets the ball bounce right in front in front of him but does not touch the ball. The Eagles pick it up and the refs rule the ball was touched. Eagles ball. Two plays later Westbrook takes it 39 yards for the game sealing TD. The Falcons had no timeouts left so they couldn't challenge the ruling on the field. If it was under 2 minutes the call would have been overturned and the Falcons would have had 1st and 10 at their own 40. Would the Falcons have scored? Who knows, but they were screwed. aec4
I saw it, and I was pissed because I wanted ATL to go down and have Turner punch it in. Turns out I have Westbrook too so it worked out great.
StillerPaul
I saw a couple of horrible non-calls in my Steelers game today too. And my team was guilty! lol For some reason the ref's are extremely inconsistent this season. I honestly think Mr. Goodell (read A-hole) has gotten into their heads because he's so damned worried about the 'brand' of football being played in the NFL and the "safety" concerns..... Vudu
I saw it, I thought they had to review plays like that when the clock is under 2 minutes?
aec4
I saw it, I thought they had to review plays like that when the clock is under 2 minutes? There was more than 2 minutes remaining when the play started. That's the KEY. The play started before the 2 minute warning, so no auto review. I frankly think it should be 2 minutes in the 1st half, and 5 minutes in the 2nd half just like the clock stopping on OB plays is...

aec4
if the coach wouldn't have burned up all 3 TO's they could have challenged He used them correctly though, to stop the clock to give them the rock back with a chance. Coaches will need to realize to leave 1 TO, but if he did leave 1 TO, the punt would have happened at the 2 minute warning and it wouldn't have mattered that he saved the TO. Gainzo
heh why didn't falcons have at least 1 TO left Because they took a TO when the Eagles had 2nd & 2 and then their final TO when the Eagles had 3rd and 1. They did what they had to do and then a BS call sunk them.
