johnny green balls
i'm sure this has been bitched about 100 times today already but i'm too lazy to read the rest of the posts-- why was mangini so insistent on throwing all game??? KC blows on run D, this should've been TJ and LW show. hell, both guys did great when they had their number called unlike Brett "Throwing Punt" Favre. nico002
Yes because you know him personally. You realize that Mangini doesn't sit there and tells schotty what calls to play right? I'm sure Favre, Schotty, and Mangini, all sit there tyring to figure out a gameplan.

joewilly
part of our problem was poor execution. Favre especially. poor execution will make any play calling seem sucky. we hated the 3 runs from TJ.we hate the interceptions in the red zone. Whatever the play, the players need to do their jobs in order for it to be successful

I hated the pass happy approach as much as anyone. But the bottom line is that there were many opportunities to make plays on the field yesterday, and the execution sucked. Favre has not been finding the open receiver for a few weeks now.

The ONLY think I can think of JGB is that maybe they wanted KC thinking they would come out running, then f em up with the passing attack? I think everyone here knew KC's run D sucks balls and that TJ was coming off a monster game last week so they threw them a curve ball. Us too it would seem. A case of OVER coaching ? That was also my thought. They got to cute. Hoping to get a big lead then go to the running game. With that said, who knows if it would have worked. Favre sucked

Favre sucked so the last 15 of 16 teams that have run 1st and beaten chiefs were wrong.. bottom line,,they tried to get cute when they didnt have to,,if a decent team has a minor weakness u may be able to do good goin opposite,,but when acrap team cant stop the run,,there is no need to get cute

Magnus Malax
"Stubborn" is to suggest that someone wanted him to change the plan and he wouldn't despite the protests of others. "Arrogant" is a personality trait and you're suggesting that you know him. I can promise you that he is not arrogant.

I didn't say you couldn't talk about players. You made two comments about the coach that you aren't qualified to be in the know about. That's it. If you want to question the play-calling, be my guest.

Despite the fact that the gameplan was horrendous it wouldn't have looked that way if Favre doesn't play so terribly.

The defense needs to step it up. Hopefully yesterday they (the defense) simply did not respect the opponent.

Agreed on this, when Favre throw the interception into double coverage, he had Brad Smith open acrossed the middle. All the passing KC did on the sideline and in the back of the end zone, we need to push them out before they get two feet in. In zone coverage the middle linebackers get to far back allowing short catches over the middle given them good yards normally first downs. Plus side of things, LW draw play didn't come from him alone, we had some of the best blocking of the year on that play to give him open space to turn on the Jets.
