lancemehl
1. The playcalling continues to baffle-TJ's coming off his best streak as a jet yet,2nd in the conf in rushing, the cheifs are dead last vs. the run, Brett is not 100 percent, yet shotgun all day, even first down and 3rd and 1. BAFFLING. 2. This IS,however,EXACTLY what we wanted. Brett to sling. 3.and finally, what makes Brett Favre Brett Favre is his ability to throw three(almost four) picks and still lead a TD drive to win. That's what we got. That's who we are rolling with. I'd like to know why these mediocre rookies and third string QB's and RB's are having breakout games against us. and with each game I'm closer to saying Mangini is a true jets HC.a la Walton,Coslett,Kotite,Groh,Herm and Carroll. He's a little better than Holtz was.
LionelRichie
you can't just blame the playcalling for favre hitting the chiefs in the numbers. for whatever reason he continues to make terrible decisions with the football. at the end of the day the coaches coach and the players play. the jets should have been able to do a lot of things yesterday and didn't. a lot of the blame belongs with the players. Jetfan13
not an excuse but Fat Fanaca fell on Favre's arm in the 1st quarter and he was in alot of pain for quite a while and on the pic-6, ESPN reported (Hoge) that Stuckey was partially to blame for quitting on his route
4HCrew
Brett is taking way too many hard shots to even last a full season. He has to be playing with at least one injury at this point
gang_green03
There's no excuses for Favre's terrible play recently. He's making extremely poor decisions plain and simple. He's not just taking chances he's taking stupid chances.

Ghost
I don't care what anyone says, Brett is going to have a helluva game on Sunday. He'll shut his critics up and the Jets will be right back in it. Trust me, everything is going to be fine.

He's not just taking chances he's taking stupid chances. I have to disagree. Although a lot of blame does rest on Favre, some of it has to go on the receivers and their lack of communication. Two interceptions were the result of Stuckey and Coles (check me on that?) quitting on their routes early. Stuckey was open inside on the slant, but he just stopped, allowing for the easy pick 6. Coles pulled a Santana Moss and just totally stopped out of nowhere when he was supposed to go deep. At least when you see the ball going over you sprint at it and try and play some defense. He pulled into a curl to settle in the zone while Favre had him going deep. Simple miscommunication or the WR's quitting on their routes, I do not know. I haven't had time to replay the third INT, but if I do I'll see who to blame it on. Right now I'm just going to blame everyone except Leon, it's easier that way. That's exactly what we need. But I say we use TJ who has FINALLY started to earn his $. Ride that s%$t out, but, ultimately, we need a big game from Favre on Sunday, a win in Buffalo will cure all. Irish Jet
If Favre plays well in Buffallo and we win the game, I'll give him a break. Until then, not a chance. Not only has he 'not played well' over the last 3 games, He's been ****ing awful! We have played teams who have a combined 2 wins over the last 3 weeks, teams who have been awful on both sides of the ball and yet we still get pushed to the limit or beaten as the case was in Oakland. Favre has been a large part of those losses, throwing 3 TD's against 7 PICKS! 7 against the Bengals, Raiders and ****ing Chiefs! That is inexcusable regardless of what some want to say about playcalling! FAVRE HAS BEEN AWFUL! Accept it!

Maybe you can split the blame on the INT where he overthrew Coles and chalk it up to another miscommunication, but the others are 100% inexcusable. The 2nd INT he threw into tight double coverage where there was no reason to believe the receiver had a chance. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, it was on 3rd and short. It was completely unecessary, its not like it was 4th down or something. The 3rd INT, again, was very misguided. Even if Stuckey finished that route it probably would've been picked. And even if he got away with it he was throwing into double or triple coverage. Also, we're not even counting the pick Derrick Johnson dropped. There's no excuses and he's been throwing these stupid passes consistantly and against bad teams. What happens when we play a good defense? My annoyance with him is that they're not even close to smart chances he's taking. With most of these interceptions he's pretty much just throwing the ball up for grabs. Right now he's one of the big reasons they're playing so poorly.

Mangini's defending Favre on this play bothers me more then all the other things he is being accused of doing,or not doing. Favre made a bad throw on that ball. Stuckey, who has played well when given the chance, is being thrown under the bus to protect Favre. That's wrong. That hurts team chemistry big time. The players know what happed there. Favre has been responsible for 9 turnovers in the last three games. Bret Favre or not he has to be held responsible, not blame it on some kid. I still like Mangini, but this bothers me a lot

Everyone needs to get off the playcalling bandwagon..Unless the Jets offense is tipping their hands and the opposition knows the exact play we are running and I doubt that... its about EXECUTION of the play, making proper reads, running correct routes..holding your blocks..Any play called can be second guessed. It doesn't matter if the play is ****ed, you run your route. Otherwise everything gets screwed. IMO, the turnover is 100% on Favre, but Stuckey HAS to run through his route. glenn212
Mangini most certainly not throw Stuckey under the bus..not even close..He was ask a simple question about Stuckey stopping (which he did) and his answer was he shouldn't have stopped, which anyone watching the game knew that. So now Eric is throwing Chancey under the bus...Not even close. there's no winning sometimes with the press and fans..Show more fire on the sidelines, scream at some people..Why you throwin Stuckey under the bus..Give me a freakin break.
