5180 what is your infatuation with bashing Jets players and placing other teams players higher? And next your going to tell us how Vernon Davis is better than all of them. Oh wait you already did.

Antonio Gates has nothing on Vernon Davis. ;)

Call it as you see it? maybe with your jaded eyes? I think you get caught up in names and not the actual talent. Just like how you wanted Shockey, then Winslow, then Davis... granted Witten is a very good tight end but at some point you need to realize that an NFL team is not made up like a fantasy team.

Id take anyone of those TEs over Chris Baker im sure im not alone.

Yeah because the Jets clearly want to spend big money on a tight end..clearly a major need on the team?? And for the record I would not want Davis or Shockey on this team..you realize they do have price tags right? and what does Davis have 16 catches this year wow that is awesome

An all-around TE is a valuable tool for any offense. With the NYJETS lacking a true #1 WR a TE like any 1 of those guys could make our offense score more points.

At this point I do not see Davis or Shockey being a legit number 1 tight end. Shockey was but the injuries and attitude have destroyed him. There are also many NFL experts that state Shockey is a terrible route runner. Davis has done next to nothing in the NFL. Winslow could be great but he wants huge money which I would rather spend on another corner and or safety.
