I just got back from the riot on S.Broad... It is ridiculous.... Fires burning in the street... Everyone is honking.. I can't explain it..

Would this happen if the Jets won the superbowl?? What happened when the Giants won? Or Yankees?? This is the most insane celebration I have ever seen???????

Im proud to be a Philadlphian...

The Yankees weren't in it so I didn't really care as long as the Redsox weren't either. I really was hoping that the Rays would pull one out for the underdogs of the world. But, no I didn't jump on the band wagon just cause I live in Florida. Nice little story though. I don't think the Rays will make it back next year.

You guys are wrong.. Philly fans are the most knowledgeable and dedicated sports fans I have run into..

I live in the greatest city in America...

Philly fans can die of radiation sickness. As if it wasn't bad enough already, now we have to listen to at least another year of...

"DRRR FIGHTIN PHILS R AWSOME B/C DEY FIGHT

DEY R DA ONLY TEAM THAT EVER COMES BACK IN DA 8 OR 9 INNING

DEY R CLUTCHEST TEAM EVER"

F the whole lot of 'em.

I saw a bunch of jackasses jumping on top of somebody's car. I think I would be inclined to come out of the house blasting and actually feel good about the prospect of 20 years to life. On the other hand, anyone that leaves their car on the street with the potential for mayhem looming is a bit effin stupid.

I was at the game when the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994. The crazy New Yorkers were milling around having a huge party while the mellow Canadians in vancouver went on rampage, ransacking the city. I can't remember things like that happening here after any NY championship.

Hopefully if the Jets win the Super Bowl, we get to burn down Xanadu.

I think the government should transport the populations of Boston and Philadelphia to a geo-bubble on Mars and make them war until there is no one left on one side or the other. It could be the new rage in sports betting.

Are you going to throw in all of the College students that populate Boston and Philly? They are the idiots who flip cars, break windows and set things on fire.

That doesn't mean that the natives aren't douchebags, but its something to think about.

Yes, it was the college students, your honor. The guys from out of town. Honest.

Not that I think college partying isn't way ove the top, but that college student excuse for city riots after sporting events is mostly a cop-out.

If you look at the pictures and video from Philly last night and Boston over the last few years I'm sure you noticed everyone looks about 18-24 years old.

Boston has BU, Northeastern and a bunch of smaller colleges within 3 miles of Fenway. Philly has Drexel, Penn, St. Joes and bunch of smaller colleges as well.

College students make up a large percentage of the idiots.

Same thing when the Yanks won at the Stadium in 1996-lots of tears of joy and rejoicing, but no destruction.Even with boozed up crowds, no one got nasty. May be because both crowds were older than anything you would see in Philly or Boston.

Maybe because Yankee Stadium is nowhere near Manhattan and Manhattan doesn't have a street that all the drunken idiots hung out at?

What a poor excuse...

It wasn't just Broad Street... The entire city went nuts.. Right here in Roxborough... Main St. on Manyunk... Girard Ave..

Philly is just a better sports town...
