This should be the week it all comes together...

seven games in and not one complete game played. as we all know they have looked pretty bad most games.

I think this is the week it all comes together and what a perfect game for that to happen. It seems the team finally gets it. Last weeks narrow victory to a bad team and the previous weeks loss to a bad team have made this JET team focused.

I would be suprised if we dont see this team play extremely well this week. After watching this team for some 30+ years, you get a real feel for certain games.

How many others knew the JETS would lose that game to Oakland? I was one. I know many of you felt the same.

I hope my "feel" is right again this week.

If there is any week it's this week for it all to come together. This game is very VERY important for us. If we can go out there and put together a complete game it will change the dynamic and the confidence of this team. It sounds silly and only the Jets could achieve this but these last 3 games against 3 really bad teams have been actually really bad for us. The fact that we won 2-3 and should've been 3 for 3, and the manner we won the games really hurt the morale of the team IMO. A win is a win is what they're saying but at the same time, the way they've won has weighed on this team I'm sure. If we can beat Buffalo the way we win will be measured less then in those other games.

I'll be honest I think we're not going to do well. Watching the Bills vs Raiders in week 3 (?) seeing Edwards throwing a TON of crossing, under, slant routes is making me dread to see what he'll do against us. Our run D has been solid but most NFL teams won't work against your strength, they'll work against your weakness. We need to really try and prevent and get in the way of those short routes.

The Bills secondary also has questions, Miami killed them with what I just mentioned we're getting killed with. I'd love to see some more running, but I think this game should be 60/40 pass run. If Baker is back let's utilize both TE's, have them clog the middle and allow our Receivers to be able to get after their secondary.

I hope your feeling is right... my feeling is we're gonna be humiliated and on our way to a mediocre 8-8 season.

BUF is very beatable. In fact so is the entire NFL for that matter. There really isn't a team that can only beat themselves in the league this year. If we put together a complete game where every part of our team plays as well as they ever have this season, but they all do it together, then I have no doubt we will beat BUF. None.

I love it when a plan comes together...

I'm just not sure that I think this coaching staff has a real plan or vision of what this team is and should be.

Haha... You should cross post this to the 80's thread...

Seriously, I'd like to see our team run like Pittsburgh is. Favre should be throwing the ball 20 times a week and we should be running the ball to open up the passing game..

I think we need balance, period. I swear Mangini has Shottenheimer put "pass" or "run" into a hat and he just picks one. That's what the thought process feels like sometimes.

But I agree CTM, we need to have the run to set up the pass and the pass to set up the run. I nominate CTM for Jets HC. Get on the bus.

To beat Buffallo we need to run ealry and hit them with A LOT of play action. Anyone who saw what Chad Pennington done to them last week would probably agree.

BUT...Isn't play action against Schotty's religion? 'Cos it's sure looked that way since he's been here.

no doubt that should be the plan. According to Mangini, he has asked to simplify and scale back certain plays and sub packages. Favre and the entire offense want "go to" plays that they do well and not plays that look pretty before the snap;ie shifts and motions. 6 out of 11 picks have come on 3rd down.
