Vudu
We have a pretty capable team here, the only thing we lack is a BIG TARGET. A Big tall Reciever who can out jump the secondary and catch the ball a la TJ Housh, Chad Johnson, Plaxico Burress etc. Our wide Recieving corps are mostly very tiny and because of that, some of the balls thrown into double coverage by Brett were picked off. Now I am in no way admonishing Brett for his idiotic throws, but I think that if we had a BIG PLAY BIG TARGET wide Reciever a lot of those plays would have been made. Which brings me to my question: Do we need to address our need for a HUGE target WR via trades or drafting this offseason? If we do trade, who do we go after? gang_green03
I big target at WR would be nice and its some what of a need, but we have much bigger ones that need addressing. Having a tall receiver isn't a prerequisite to having a good team.
Vudu
Here comes the Chad Johnson brigade... I think Houshmazadeh is a lot better Wide reciever than Chad Johnson is. Chad Johnson's ego is too big to be on this team, he'd wreck the locker room. He's a virus just like TO, just to a lesser extent.

rillo
Just our luck we'll get/draft a big target, then Favre retires......again.

PS17
I don't think they have a chance at getting him though. He's gonna go top 3 w/o a doubtttttt.
war ensemble
I stopped reading where you said a lot of the plays thrown into double coverage would've been completed if we had bigger wide receivers. Just saying. But, seriously, WR is the least of our worries. How about we get a competent safety to complement Rhodes, someone via draft to replace our aging D-Line, a big run-blocking O-Lineman, etc.

I wouldn't say it's the 'least of our worries' BUT I agree that it's not top priority. I would love an explosive player on offense, something we really lack but Coles and Cotchery are solid possesion WR's, they're not going to drag the team down. I'd seriously prefer if we went after a RB or maybe even a QB (If we're going after a QB it better be in the draft). I like a lot of backs that are more than likely coming out this year (Moreno, Wells, McCoy etc.). I think it could very well be a good year to target a back. Plax is tall but Chad Johnson and TJ are the same height as Cotch 6'1 and Keller is 6'2 if they ever use him..

124
TJ and Housh arn't any taller than 6 foot, 6'1. Plaxico, Moss & T.O. are rareities to find. Ask me how the 2006 Colts did with short receivers.

BroadwayJoe12
DHB...enough said. He will require more work than Crabtree, who is pro-ready right now, but he is a player that can truly develop into an Andre JOhnson #1 type of receiver. I absolutely love heyward-bey and ya'll should check him out if you haven't yet. If you thought Calvin Johnson had no QB with reggie ball, than this kid must have blind no armed QB throwing to him. As far as RB goes, i really don't like anyone in the first round. Wells, mccoy and moreno are all good backs, but they don't do much for me. My favorite back who might come out would be CJ spiller. Not you're every down back, but he reminds me a lot of chris johnson from Tennessee and that's something else that we lack. There have been a handful of times where the line gives TJ a whole to run through and he ripped of 15+ yards, but if he had any type of speed he would have had a td; and the thing that bothers me is that play, we end up getting a field goal or having to punt it.
