Thai Jet
At this point it's hard t6o tell. They're pretty close in my book. Both have SB rings but right now the Giants O line is much better than Indy's so that tends to make Eli look better. Given a choice of the 2 if I were starting a team, I'd go with Eli. PS17
Peyton, no doubt in my mind. I actually think Eli is better. Peyton has the better arm but Eli always comes through in the clutch.
CTM
I have to reserve judgment for now. Peyton has always been better, but I don't yet understand why or how he's fallen off the cliff so fast.
Arsis
Are we taking about all time or now? Are we talking about who we would want in their prime? Peyton is older than eli and is injured.
Vudu
Right now I'd take Eli over Peyton. Peyton's dramatic fall off is very puzzling.
Gainzo
Peyton, no doubt in my mind. Eli had a great run in the playoffs last year. That's it for him. Peyton is, and will always be, a better QB than his brother. This is Eli's 4 year as a starting QB. Take a look at Peytons 1st 4 years in the League. It isn't even close. Eli's TD to INT ratio is terrible.

That SB win was not on him. The Giants passrush and Tyree's great catch won that game, period.
Arsis
Depending on the extent of Peyton's injury I would have to say Eli right now. Peyton in his prime over Eli any day of the week.

StillerPaul
Lol, It's kind of surprising to see a Steelers fan post this to be honest.. So, Big Ben 2 years prior, along for the ride or driver? Oh don't get me wrong. I think Ben and Eli are pretty damn good QB's. In fact, i hope Eli has great career just cause he seems so personable and likeable to me. But to compare him to Peyton? I'm not even the biggest Peyton supporter but c'mon he does more for his team in his sleep than what Eli does for the G-Men. And he didn't even have a defense his first, well bunch, of years. Eli and Ben are both drivers IMO but different drivers than Peyton. BTW, i'd love to see Eli or Peyton try to flourish with the Steelers protection scheme. The Giants passrush and Tyree's great catch won that game, period. Eli tried to throw away the Super Bowl a couple of times. His "pass" to Asante Samuel was terrible. Why do people bring this stuff up? For every Trent Dilfer or Brad Johnson there are QB's like Bradshaw, Montana, Aikman, Elway & Brady who have won multiple Super Bowls. I'm too lazy to do the math but those 5 QB's have won a good amount of the 42 Super Bowls played. Bradshaw: 3 Montana: 4 Aikman: 3 Brady: 3 Elway:

war ensemble
The question you're asking is quite ambiguous. Even with that, however, I would still vote Peyton. He might be older and injured, but at least he's proven. All Eli has going for him is his playoff run, which to me at least is overrated.

OK, cause Big Ben is roundly criticized for having a crappy SB by his detractors, to whch his supporters quote his great stats from the playoff run to get them there (I think he's a player) Eli had a bit of the same thing going on.. Yeah i'll give ya that. Eli seems to have the same moxy that Ben has at times. It's just that Eli has been alot more inconsistant about it. Nothing wrong with having a strong run game and great defense to back you up. Obviously i haven't watched Eli nearly as much as i watch Ben but i KNOW Ben can make every throw needed in the NFL. Does Eli have that range? Also, well it's clear Ben has the mobility edge as well. But i still won't put either of em' in the Peyton/Brady category yet. Do they have potential to be there? You bet. But they are not quite there yet IMO.

LOL I have nothing bad to say about Ben and never have. Eli is pedestrian to say the least No matter how anyone twists these stats it shows Eli as being a run of the mill QB. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=0&statisticCategory=PASSING&conference=null&season=2008&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=PASSING_YARDS&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=
Jerichoholic
Right now I'd take Eli over Peyton. Peyton's dramatic fall off is very puzzling. I'm not sure its puzzling (with the two knee surgeries and no training camp)...but in light of peyton's slide...I take Eli mae Manning right now...lets hope the same happens with brady

Irish Jet
For the record I'm not one of those who felt what Eli done in the PO's last year was overrated. I thought he was outstanding and stepped up big time, but still throughout the entirety of his career he has simply not done enough to be considered with Peyton. gang_green03
If we're talking about this season you can make the arguement for Eli. But if we're talking about career its Peyton and its not even debatable. Peyton is a HOF and has done more in his career than had 1 good playoff run. I hope we're talking about right now because if not this discussion is stupid.

"Big Ben" was also surrounded with much better teams and talent. Eli is the better QUARTERBACK, Handoffburger is the better "game manager" and gun shooter: Ben is simply not a game manager. He's came through for his team so often through the air over the past two years that to think he's simply in there to 'manage' the game is absurd. Ben is a gamer and I would LOVE to have a QB like him on the Jets. He makes plays, you'd have to be blind not to see that.
Irish Jet
3Z5dqelV_8s That is a good vid which shows some of Bens capabilities. The guy can make plays that no other QB in the NFL could make.

The guy can make plays that no other QB in the NFL could make. :rl: You have got to be kidding me. The only thing Ben can do better than any other QB is escaping a sack because he's so damn huge, thats it though. Oh, and maybe hind a handoff. He's been schooled in the ways of that. He is a game manager, not a Quarterback. A couple of highlights shows nothing. The Steelers never win because of Ben, they win because of Defense and Running Game. He is no Brady, P.Manning, Favre, Palmer, E.Manning, McNabb, Hasselbeck, Rivers, etc.
Larz
peyton the only reason this is being brought up is the fierce pass rush that won the NYG a SB, a lucky bomb, and peyton having 2 knee surgeries in the off season with that said, there will be a time in about 3 years when eli is playing better due to age, but looking back at their careers, it will never really be a contest
