Garb
Pardon the interruption, you two.....but I'm old school, and just wanted to know if the "old" sayings had changed? I always thought Innocence was Bliss and Silence was Golden.
MrsTaborJet
LOL...what?! It means I will come kidnap your ass with duct tape! LadyJet, this is actually his way of asking you for a date. Instead of dinner and a movie, he just wants to get to work and pull out the hand restraints. Take pics you kids! Pardon the interruption, you two.....but I'm old school, and just wanted to know if the "old" sayings had changed? I always thought Innocence was Bliss and Silence was Golden. Yup, Silence is Golden. Garb
And here I am thinking ignorance is bliss. That too! I think there is some merit to that saying, actually. Not knowing, or understanding, something negative can't be bad for the soul, right? Unless, of course, it's all a ruse. In that case I suspect "ignorance" can lead to another kind of bliss altogether.

Good job War.

You end up getting into some really abstract stuff trying to explain it, but I think the proof is in the pudding with children and the like. Only thing that changes from a man and a child is the environment around him. You never expose a man to that and he'll always remain in a peaceful state of happiness, in my opinion. The thirst for knowledge on many accounts leads to more pain and suffering, as evidenced throughout history.
