Gainzo
Oh, that reminds me - If they played with a normal ball the Aussie's would win easily. The round ball sucks.
Irish Jet
I think the fact that you guys have professional athletes going up against amateurs is advantage enough.

BP
I think Irish football is one the most exciting sports I've watched (including NFL). I watched the Finals when I was out in SD and both games were non stop excitement.

I watched the Finals when I was out in SD and both games were non stop excitement. Gaelic football could use more tackling or some other physical outlet of getting the ball. Oftentimes you'll just have one guy blaze down the whole field as all you can do to stop him is disrupt the ball when he's soloing or block his shot. Both rugby and gaelic football are really exciting. I like the non stop action, especially when compared to American sports like the NFL or MLB. BP
The Gaelic stuff is ok but Aussie Rules is much better. X_hqosNvv5E Aussie rules is not better. they don't have a net on there goal posts. and they use a ball that almost looks like an NFL ball. Gainzo, I used to watch Aussie rules all the time in the early 80's on ESPN. I was a big Hawthorne fan. the Irish football was more exciting. those game anyway. A typical Aussie Rules field is 165 metres long and 135 metres wide. It's a huge oval. The gaelic boys play on a soccer field. Watch this and you will see how big Aussie Rules fields are. d-PFRrJQtew

It's a lot easier to stay in such great shape when you don't have a job to cope with too.

Irish Jet
Hurling > Gaelic football. Right on. The skill of those guys is unbelievable. It just sucks that it's Cork/Kilkenny just about every year winning it all. GREAT sport though.
