Midget Love 20
At this point of the season and what you've seen from the team, and could pick 1 position on each side of the ball to change (via FA or draft) to start, what would it be? Give a position and reason. Offense - This is a tough one, I'm not gonna lie. I would probably go with a RB, but a bigtime goaline back. To be fair, TJ has been serviceable and Leon is a good change of pace, but what about a pound it in--goaline runner? It sucks Chatman had the steriods thing and now is done for the year, but bringing in a guy who can push the pile and bang around LBs on short-yardage plays would be great. Defense - Pass-rushing DE. Jenkins has been a monsterous pick-up on the entire running game, but what about the pass rush? Sure we were knocking Edwards around during the game and Ellis is having a nice season, but I strongly believe an x-factor rusher could really solidy our D and provide easy picks for the secondary. Then again, theres always that Gholston character
lawngnome o-line
We have 29 sacks at this point in the year. That is more than we had ALL of last year. You are sadly mistaken if you think that is a priority
gang_green03
Offense - (Assuming we have Favre next year) This is difficult cause there are no glaring weaknesses but I agree that I'd probably look to upgrade #1RB. Jones was great today but he can be improved upon. Also, we need to look at drafting a QB soon since Favre is gone this year or next and we need more insurance to Clemens than Ratliff. Defense - I'd say its a toss up between S and DE but I'd give the edge to safety. We need someone next to Rhodes who can actually cover. After that some youth at DE is almost as important. Also, hopefully this year Tangini improves our depth at NT cause after Jenkins there's pretty much nothing and its obvious that whenever he comes out we can be run on. In a perfect world, it would have been nice to pick up a game changing receiver would make this offense dynamic. And the purpose of a 3-4 DE, isnt to rush the passer. That said, Ellis has been extremely good at being a pass rushing 3-4 DE. IMO him and Jenkins have been the most impressive defenders on our team this year. Thai Jet
I would have picked up another CB on defense. Revis is well Revis but Lowrey is a rookie and Miller is...hey is he still on the roster?
#27TheDominator
IMO WR is a bigger need than RB. Pass rushing DE? That doesn't really exist in a 3-4. They have Pace, Thomas, Bowens and Gholston who all have been pass rush specialists, plus Ellis who seems to be getting good pressure again with Jenkins there. They need another S and CB, but I think that ILB will be a huge priority because Barton is old, his contract is coming up and they have NOTHING else there after Harris. BUM-KNEE
On offense Id want a speedy burner WR, a tall one. (6'4" - 7'9") On defense Id want an ILB that can cover great underneath, and really likes to hit people.

You are sadly mistaken if you think that is a priority Stats: (W) Week 1: Passing - 251 2 tds 1 INT Rushing - 49 (L) Week 2: Passing - 156 Rushing - 104 1 td (L) Week 3: Passing - 251 3 tds 1 INT Rushing - 107 2 tds (W)Week 4: Passing - 426 2 tds 3 INT Rushing - 42 3 tds (W) Week 6: Passing - 128 Rushing - 43 1 td (L) Week 6: Passing - 191 1 td Rushing - 153 (W)Week 7: Passing - 280 2 tds Rushing - 80 (W) Week 8: Passing - 262 1 td 2 INT Rushing - 30 I can't complain about how the d-line has been, since adding Jenkins has been great, I'm saying a pass-rushing DE that can create mis-matches off the edge to help open blitz packages for our OLBs. Am I saying Ellis and Bowens are terrible, no because they played well. I just think that pressure creates turnovers, and with the exception of the Arizona game we've had 4 INTs the entire year. In a perfect world, having a D that is juiced to stopped both the run and pass is nearly impossible in this day and age, but I think that a pass-rusher who draws double teams (like what Jenkins does for the running game) could really increase sacks, create more INTs and keep our offensive on the field. You want a different system. This system is not designed for an edge rushing DE. These guys ARE forcing double teams. That's how the blitzes work. The O doesn't know where the extra rusher is coming from. Any "edge" rusher will be too small to hold up the point of attack. This is assuming that you have given up on Gholston already who specifically is supposed to do the things you mentioned. Teams have passing yards because the Jets have been leading, have been forcing them to pass and they have a slow rookie playing one CB spot. CoachTsurfing
Offense- a big, fast, great handed wr Defense- a 3 way tie. cb (lowery is looking better though), safety (rhodes needs some help), and de (bowens doesn't impress me) hey didn't we draft a de/olb. SpartanJet
Offense - We need a stud receiver. I like Cotch but he has separation issues at times. Coles is one hit away from the end of his career so I think getting a top flight receiver would be key it looks like some of Bretts sacks are coverage sacks. Defense - I'm going to say we need some linebackers who can cover the short routes teams are running on us all day. Today was just redicuous with Harris out but its still pretty bad even when he is in. I'd love to see the conversion rates teams have on us on 3rd down with short passes. A matching CB to compliment Revis would be nice as well.

Guys, Bowens does NOT play DE for this team. He never did. He plays LB. They converted him to OLB as soon as he got here and then started working him at ILB this preseason because of the logjam with Pace, Thomas and Gholston. He started at ILB today. The guy I assume you are looking to replace is Kenyon Coleman, but IMO he looked very good today. Stood up at the point of attack. Devito is the back up and he looked pretty decent today too. Jerichoholic
Defense - I'm going to say we need some linebackers who can cover the short routes teams are running on us all day. seriously ... did we maybe trade away one (despite being injured and undersized) to the saints? Montreal Jet
SS Revis and Lowery will be a great 1-2 CB Unit for years to come. Rhodes is a Beast!!! We need a SS.
ZachEY
seriously ... did we maybe trade away one (despite being injured and undersized) to the saints? I have wondered about this this season Absolutely not. Vilma was 10-15 lbs smaller than the smallest starting ILB around the NFL. He's not built to play in this defense, neither in his size, or talents.

war ensemble
Defense? Someone to compliment Rhodes. Linebackers we should be fine, I wouldn't mind a project D-Lineman replacement in a later round. Offense: Quarterback is going to be our biggest problem going into next year. I don't know how to solve that and none of the QBs in this draft impress me. Maybe Ratliff or Clemens can still be the answer. We could use a speedy receiver, I'm still holding out to see what Clowney can do when given a chance. We could use an O-Lineman in a later round, as a utility man and then grandfather him into a starting spot.
