Where is Clowney?

It'd be nice to get him in some games, but it seems like a lot of people are expecting him to be the savior of our offense or something, based off of one preseason game.

Right now the only way I see him getting any time is any injury to Coles, Cotch, Smith, or Stuckey.

you know the old saying, what have you done for me lately..You can only go by his last game, which was a good one.. I just want someone to stretch the field a bit, I think that would surely help get our TE's involved more

I totally agree. Coles and Cotch have both been getting nicked up and it would be nice to have a WR to give em a brake and also stretch the field.

It's based on one and a half preseason games!

I haven't seen much of smith either. What happened to all the 5 wr sets we were going to see now that we had a QB that could get it to them?

They were getting Favre killed.

I still can't believe the amount of hype some of you guys gave this kid over a few catches vs scrubs in the preseason.

I heard some comparisons with Randy Moss. LOL

not from me, I just want to see what the threat of pure speed does to open up the middle...You saw what Keller did yesterday, imagine what he can do with the middle open even more....

yea I don't recall any Randy Moss comparisons either...he's gonna be our secret weapon this week...Pats fans and NFL fans across the nation (and world) will all be saying " Who IS this guy anyway?"...just Palm Beach County's own David Clowney...Abram Elam too 1-3...Riviera Beach

Westhoff has a lot of say on this team, and is probably making the call on Clowney. Smith and Wright are two excellent ST's players. Clowney has to either show he is the true # 3 WR, or beat out Smith or Wright for ST's.

Have to assume he has not done either

He is caught in a numbers game. Coles and Cotchery start. Stuckey has been very effective as the 3rd WR, when he does get a chance. Smith is versatile and a good special teams players. Wright is an outstanding special teams player and has some WR potential.

It is hard to activate 6 WRs.

Based upon the above logic, I can't blame Mangini for not activating him. They are all nice and safe reasons. But mark my words. Clowney will get his chance someday. You can pooh-pooh pre-season results all you want. I saw a guy with 4.28 speed, height, good hands, awareness, toughness and good route running.

I just hope he gets his chance with Favre still around.

hell DM, we're carrying 2 PK's now-why not de-actiavte, outright cut or IR Nuge and carry 6 WRs-especially with Baker and Franks having become virtually invisible after getting hurt

After yesterday's performance by Feely, I am OK with letting Nuge take a few years to recover from his little boo-boo. :)
