NIGHT STALKER
Did anyone else notice that Barrett was playing instead of Lowery in the 4th quarter. Was he hurt or benched? I think they benched him the entire second half...I could be wrong though.
Jbro22
I think they benched him the entire second half...I could be wrong though. I think he was in sporadically, due to schemes and stuff. But he didn't play as much as he usually does. He's young he'll come around.
Bravejamriot
If they want to play Barrett, I guess I can live with that. But Coleman in the slot over Lowery?
will
If they want to play Barrett, I guess I can live with that. But Coleman in the slot over Lowery? I think Coleman was inactive a few weeks ago (v KC?). I thought they were finally done with him. He may be the best they have right now at nickle but he is a serious weak link. He just doesnt have the skills to line up against a typical NFL slot receiver. I think Lowery's future might be at SS. Dunno.
Thai Jet
Did anyone else notice that Barrett was playing instead of Lowery in the 4th quarter. Was he hurt or benched? I just assumed that they wanted a veteran like Barrett out there in the 4th.
Jetscode1
According to Cimini..."Rookie Dwight Lowery, whose star has dimmed in recent weeks, was replaced by David Barrett in the second half. Lowery had a pass-interference penalty and gave too much cushion on a third-down reception, resulting in a seat on the bench." http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/ IMO...Lowery has looked slow and been picked on because he has played like a rookie and has Revis on the other side. Still think he has long term potential and/but it may be as the nickel or safety.

KSJets
Anyone else find it funny that he was replaced for giving too much cushion on 3rd down by someone who gives too much cushion on ANY down?
124
He was benched because he blows. He had a stellar game against Miami and fell off the map quickly. You have to blow for David Barrett to take your place.
Aten
He was benched because he blows. It's all relative. For a fourth round rookie with a bullseye on his jersey he's played great. Just not well enough to justify our not having done more to address the position.

The Bills WR's Evans and Parrish can really stretch the field so I don't blame him too much for the cushion.

gang_green03
He looked great early on and everyone wanted to proclaim him the truth but he's been picked on a lot lately. His potential seems to be that of a very good #3CB and solid (maybe better) #2. Still a very good pickup in the 4th round.

GreenReaper
Revis, in just his 2nd year, has risen to the status of an elite shutdown corner in the league. Evans was invisible for the Bills in yesterday's game. Because no oppossing offense wants to throw into Revis' coverage, they're going to focus on Lowery. Its only natural that Lowery, a rookie, is going to feel the pressure as the mounting importance of each game increases on the schedule. It's a good idea for the CS to take some of that pressure off of Lowery, in certain games and situations. IMO, in the long run, Lowery will be fine. 00tonytone
D LOW was benched 2nd half, I dont know why, its not like he was getting toasted. The Penalty he got I think his body language got the flag thrown. He pointed to himself like who me and then the flag came out, he shouldnt of done that, rookie mistake. D LOW still got his air time after game on SNY. he contributes and has good DB instincts, he could also develope into a safety later on, he's a keeper. top 20 rookie impact players of the draft on espn which is more then VG or Keller can say.
