Who exactly are we hoping loses?

Pats or Bills this coming Sunday? Both statistically for the Jets and who you just want to win, being I'm assuming your a JETS fan.

I'm actually hoping to find a way so they BOTH lose. I'll be rooting :puke: for the Bills. We beat them already plus we play them at home next time. NE , who we lost to, will be a road game thus tougher to win.

Root for Buffalo. Besides my utter disdain for New England, bear in mind that we beat Buffalo and they are 0-2 currently in the division. For now, tying with Buffalo gives us tiebreakers. Not the case if we're tied with New England.

Right. NE will be a tough game for us to win up there. They need more losses before we play them again. Buffalo has a habit of late season collapses as well.

If you root for buffalo and they win- then jets beat rams and then beat pats the next week we would have 2 game lead on the pats with only 6 left. And we would still be tied with buffalo(or if they lose we have a lead), but would have a game left with them.

If you root for pats and they win- then jets beat rams and beat the pats the very next week, the jets would have a 1 game lead on the pats, AND at least a 1 game lead on buffalo(which could be a 2 game if they lose that week)

personally heres my situation. I think we can finish at 6-2 which is 11-5. so we need buffalo and the pats to lose at least 3 more. I hope they split there series therefore thats already 1 loss for each. then if we beat them both they each have 2 more losses. Then we just need them each to lose another game, and we can win the division at 11-5.

but this week I root for the pats that way we can have sole possesion of first by beating the pats and rams

Since I can't see NE losing two games in a row, even without Brady, I will pull for NE. I mean, when was the last time they lost two in a row? They always find a way to pull together after a loss, and they should rebound after last week's defeat to Indy.

Really have to root for NE unfortunately. We then play NE & simply must beat them ourselves.

If Buffalo beats NE (and assuming we beat StL), we'll have the same record as them. But then Buffalo's next 3 games are Cleveland, Kansas City, and San Fran. Good chance they win all three & they'll be sitting at 9-3.

Our next 3 are Ten (ugh), Denver (overrated but their strength is passing not rushing), and San Fran. Good chance we go 2-1 and will be at 8-4 if we also beat NE and shut down Cutler.

If it plays out like that, Buffalo will have a 1-game lead on us in overall record, making the Buf/NYJ game yet another must-win (added to a NE/NYJ must-win) so we own a 2-0 head-to-head tie breaker.

Best of all is a tie, of course, but that's not going to happen.

SFJ's most hated teams list-in order...

1-New England-I will ALWAYS root against them

2-Miami (used to be #1 for years) actually was a Dolphins fan when they played the Pats

3-Buffalo I don't really actually "hate" the Bills but since they're in our division-so yea I will root for Buffalo Sunday

I vote for Buffalo to lose. Then if we win both our games, we're assured a 1 1/2 game lead (1 game in the standings, and we'd have the division record as well).

That honestly makes no sense, we need the Pats to lose because the Pats would have the lead against us.

we were the last team to hand them there second straight loss 2 years ago.

I can't root for the Patriots on principle, regardless of tiebreaker scenarios. Furthermore, NE scares me more than Buffalo (as usual), and as has been said before, we're 1-0 against Buffalo and 0-1 against NE.

All of this points toward me rooting for Buffalo, even if it would be better for us to hope the Patriots win.

I'm rooting for a brutal physical game. Which you might get with a division game, both off losses. Nobody seriously hurt but both teams pounded. Game goes into OT, Buffalo wins in the closing seconds.

Pats have a short week after a brutal game. Like it

Sounds good except I'd like for it to end in a tie.
