Try sending this to Sportscenter....maybe he'll make it on the show.

Speaking of that, there is actually a sort of "Youtube" type site that is geared towards sports. Tony Gonzalez I believe started it. I'm glad you mentioned it because I was going to upload my son's video to that site and completely forgot.

Do it bro, then lets us know if they'll air it. It'll be pretty cool.

Wow. Your kid can motor. I'm serious, on that sideline run he looks like a pro running back. Congratulations to you and, most especially, to your talented son. Let's hope we see him in a Jet uniform some day.

Thanks man. If he makes it to the pros I would be one proud dad. Regardless I'm just happy he is having a blast out there.

Thanks man I'll have to look into that.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

This is his 2nd season playing football. Last season he had a good year but not quite like this, he showed mainly speed and elusiveness. This season he was MUCH more physical.

Not too versatile, would like to see him with some receptions...

I kid, I kid. Good stuff, kid can run. Use to love pee wee football back in the day.

I'm pretty sure ESPN does something we're you can send it in and if your lucky they break it down like its a highlight. I don't think they air it, but they break it down like they would a NFL play. Kids got some talent.

Yup. I've seen Cody Paul. Cody's footwork is exceptional however I don't see that 2nd gear that someone like Blake Burris has. Look up Blake Burris on youtube.

Not too shabby. He's no Thomas Jones, but not too shabby at all. ;)

Thanks.

Thomas Jones. Looks like we got the bad end of that trade. We finally have someone that can pass block and catch out of the backfield though in Forte.

Your kid is a freak, but in a good way. Some of those runs were just him using his speed to outrun everyone, but some of them, especially down the sidelines, had some very impressive cuts.

Thanks man.

He played in an all-stat tournament and did pretty well. Here are the highlights from that.

Check him out. Not all of his TDs are on this video.

he obviously has the football skills,,

my advice is too balance with academics so he can call his own shots someday when college is looming..

and by balance I mean,,not EVERY gift on birthdays and XMAS is sports gear or sports shirts, get telescopes etc to keep that balance there..

not every TV show is sports, try balancing..

trust me, you have to counterbalance when a kid is super good at sports OR academics at that age..

for the sports kid, you have to balance academics, for the academically gifted kid at that young age, you have to balance in sports to keep him balanced..

Good luck to you.........

I agree. Academics are most important. He is an A/B student and has always done well in school. I always stress to him the importance of a good education (college). As far as balance goes he doesn't really ask for sports related stuff for gifts so he usually doesn't get them, he is more likely to ask for a Pokemon video game than he is for Madden '09. The same goes for TV, while he does like to watch football he is more likely to watch Spongebob for 3 hours as opposed to a NFL game.
