PORTER TAKES AIM AT MATT JONES Posted by Mike Florio on November 5, 2008, 7:51 p.m. Dolphins linebacker Joey Porter continues to chirp. This time around, his target is Jacksonville receiver Matt Jones. Specifically, Porter doesn

Klecko73isGod
Wow, imagine that! Joey Porter was wrong about something. I can't wait to hear him trashtalk the Jets heading into week 17 only to see D'Brick pancake his punk ass repeatedly all day long.
rillo
I agree with Porter. IMO its a racial issue, but that's a whole other issue. Wasn't he caught sometime during the pre-season?

How is it a racial issue? He was given a 3 game suspension for a first time offense and he is appealing it. Brandon Marshall was given a 2 game suspension and he had a more troubled past than Jones and that was reduced to 1 game. Yeah, real racist. HardKoreXXX
Jamal Lewis got arrested for cocaine trafficking and missed a few games, Ricky Williams gets caught smoking weed and is suspended a year. No one has ever accused the NFL as being fair. Personally, I think these appeals are bull****. I hate them in every sport. If you get suspended, there should be no appeal IMO. I'm not condoning cocaine possession, but it's a big difference when you're caught trafficking the white stuff...and how many times has pot head Ricky been caught? The NFL isn't fair so there should be no appeals? Just accept whatever they decide as gospel? The NFLPA isn't that big a bunch of bitches.

crashingjet
Sooooooo you guys are saying that you don't like Joey Porter. That's the vibe I'm getting from the board... Let me just say, I hate loud mouth trash talkers who are arrogant, however, having said that, if they have 11 1/2 sacks by week 8 and they're on MY team, well, they get a bounce pass from me. Talk on J Peezy.

I would take a 25 YO Jason Taylor in a heart beat. Tears and all. I would much rather see a player cry out of frustration after a bitter loss like that, then see a player on a team that is losing 31-6 yucking it up on the side line. Odds are that you left in the 3rd quarter, that stadium was empty in the 4th. But I'll take your word that you were one of the 500 that stayed.
