Jet Moses
OK, this is just a small piece (it takes forever to download) but I intend to download at least one call in it's entirety a week jA8JfvoSDyQ

Borgoguy
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL JetMo, you are the best. I haven't heard that bit in a few years now. After our Tube Bar exchange yesterday, I asked my wife if someone where she works (an editorial facility) could transfer my cassette to CD, which I could then load on my computer. I know I could buy the damn thing on iTunes, but my cassette--and all its crackling and pops--has sentimental value. It reminds me of when I was young and getting trashed with my pals and listening to that insanity. I have had a copy of the Red Tape, as we called it, since 1975 or 1976. I remember going back to college and sharing it with my buddies. They could not believe the madness. Back when I was writing spec scripts, I met one of the original writers and producers of The Simpsons. I asked him if the character of Moe the Bartender was based on Red. He admitted it was, and was kind of shocked I knew about the tape. Since then, I have turned the tape on to so many people it's not funny. Most times, people think the main phone voice is me. I swear it's not. Thanks again for this snippet and for all the laughs the last two days, you "yellow rat bastard.":)

I've since transfered it to CD. I can burn you a copy and mail it to you, or if you're in my neighborhood I could just meet you somewhere. I live in Kearny NJ. I have alot of Vintage Stern on tape, too. I have Kenneth Keith Kallenbach. Right now I'm downloading a touchtone terrorist prank phone call. It should be done around 9 PM. I'll post it as soon as it's ready.

I was a Stern devotee since 1982, when he made the afternoons in my car (for my first job out of school) bearable. I stopped listening once he split to Sirius. I soured on Stern when he got political back in 2004. His entire appeal was pushing the envolope and his challenging the FCC, but then when he went to Sirius that all went away. For me, the greatest moments on Stern were the Pat Cooper family saga; Jackie's laugh when clips of horrific accidents were played; anytime Tiny was on, especially if he discussed his love of Job Squad or other products and their bizarre uses; Sam's appearances, particularly when he made numerous champagne runs at 6AM, and Jessica cry with his cruel line about doing a Mr. Ed bit when her Mom was dying; and all modes of Boy Gary (nee BabaBooey) getting lambasted. I miss those days, too.
