Giants Stadium Overhang

Ok a friend of mine wants to sell me tickets to this Sunday's game. He said they are in Lower Level section 134, 3 rows from the back under a overhang.

Has anyone sat in this section? Is it worth buying these tickets, just to barely be able to see the game? He also said you can't see the scoreboard from that section as well. Is it worth going to sit in this section or should I just stay home? I hate being under overhangs.

The lower level is excellent. I sit in Section 124, but I have sat in many sections all over the lower bowl including the very last row in 130 something back in 1996-1997. Its awesome because of the little TV's there to watch replays up and close (if they still have those, I don't pay attention now that I'm in Row 31 in 124), but you certainly will have a very good view.

So the overhang doesnt obstruct the view?

Ive been to yankee and Shea stadium and the overhang is really annoying so I tend to shy away from overhangs.

No the overhang isn't in the way at all. I'd barely even call it an overhang.

up high is better than too low. they have tv monitors in those seats. I prefer higher seats myself. a certain special feeling about being closer to the field though. you should go! try every seat so you know for future games.

Well this is my first JETS game so I dont want to be miserable, and my friend is giving me an excellent price on these tkts. I just wanted to know if the overhang would be onsteructing my view before I bought them. I understand that being high gives you a better perspective of the game, but I'd rather be closer to the action!:)

Take the bad with the good, if tis raining you won't get wet. My friends got seats under an over hang, the seats in front oh his get wet and his don't. I was a preseason game where it rained, its funny watching the people in front of you get soaked while you stay dry.

In that case... they suck... Ill take the punishment of sitting there though for a great price... whats your friends #?

Seriously though, you will love those seats... go in early and walk down to the bottom near the field... its really amazing if you never have been before...

I sit under the overhang in 131. The only problem is you cant see the jumbotron, but there are tv's hanging down to see the replay. Its the same thing that is on the jumbotron.

You see everything. I think once or twice in my years going the ball being punted went above the overhang.. otherwise there are no issues. There are scoreboards hanging off the overhang along the sidelines to see the score/time/down/distance so you will always know whats going on.

Sometimes the jumbotron ruins events. I always catch myself watching the screen instead of the real game sometimes.

If it wasn't mentioned above it is on the visitors side of the field.

When I come up for the games I sit in 132 but down in front.

As Max said above it is Fireman Ed country so you should be with a good crowd.

132....hhhmmmmm. LOL!!!!

Parking lots open at 8 and some will be there then, but a lot show up around 9.

Crap!

I dont even know what 9 am on a Sunday morning looks like, Im usually buried under a comforter fast asleep.

One more thing, since im a NFL GAME VIRGIN, how easy is it to see the 1st down marker in real time without the CGI yellow line?

From the lower level it will take a little getting used to. Especially when they are on the other side of the field. After the play what the ref and you will be able to figure it out. Initially it is tricky though, some 2 yard plays might look like more.
