Flash73
Rejuvenated Ellis piling up sacks again for Jets By DENNIS WASZAK Jr., AP Sports Writer FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP)
Maxman
Ellis has been nothing but class since he has been here. I really like the way he goes about conducting his business. In the good years, he doesn't gloat. In the rough years, he just works quietly. There are a lot of people that deserve good things. Ellis really would be at the top of my list though. I am going to be happy for him when he wins the Super Bowl this year.

Thai Jet
The addition of Jenkins has had a great rippling effect. Go JETS
Kerry Rhodes
The addition of Jenkins has had a great rippling effect. Go JETS To expand, Ellis no longer has to be singled out or doubled by the other team. In his best years him and Abraham were so good together bc it was BOTH of them. From the begining of last year weve changed from D-rob, and Vilma to guys like Pace, Jenkins, and David Harris. Not to mention Bryan Thomas playing better then he did 2 years ago so far.....This is the situation Ellis has thrived his whole career. Last year we were so bad we had to have Ellis as a OLB. tparich
This is one of the main reasons that I was OK with them running the 3-4 even though we didn't have all the peices yet. I knew that once the parts started falling into place it would be beter for us as every single person wasn't learning a new scheme all at the same time. 4HCrew
Max completely agree with you...Ellis has been a class act since he has been here and really glad to see him back on track
Bergen Jet
The addition of Jenkins has had a great rippling effect. Go JETS Ellis deserves his props but your comment is spot on. Jenkins commands a minimum of a double team each play. You have to keep BT, CP and Ellis in check while worrying if we are going to send anybody else. Offenses could key on stopping Ellis... especially when BT was not asked to rush the passer as much as he should have last year. Jenkins changed EVERYTHING and Pace certainly didn't hurt Ellis either.

faba
It is called the domino effect of Kris Jenkins. He occupies blockers to take on him.

Aten
7 sacks, that's all Actually, that's not all. The Jets are also third in the league stopping the run behind right tackle and first off right end. Ellis is playing completely out of his mind this year. Sperm Edwards
7 sacks in half a season as a 3-4 DE is off-the-charts nuts. When Seymour - aptly so - was considered the "best all-around defensive lineman in the NFL" 3-5 years ago, he once had 8 sacks after a full year (15 games). His next-best total was 5.5 in 16 games. On a 3-man line, 7 would have been an acceptable (really an above-average) total if he got that 7th one in the last game of the season. Going to be a long day for Bulger, who's already going down 3-4x per game.
