Why are the Miami Dolphins always overrated?

Maybe football reporters just want to hang out more in Miami than in a place where there is actual bad weather? It really doesn't make any sense. Buffalo and Denver are not that good, and San Diego is terrible on the road. Their best win was against New England, but that team is clearly not the same without Brady.

It's hilarious that some people think they will actually beat us at home on December 28th. I wonder if the people predicting that have watched and Jets-Dolphins games in the last decade or so?

i just don't get it..

When they're bad they are "better than their record indicates"

When they're OK they are good

When they're good they're great

I think they are going to get steamrolled this week..

This year they have been money as they've been serially underrated..

Right now they are playing the best football in the division, but most don't realize it..

The groovy teal uniforms, and reporters that like going to Miami in December. Nobody overrates the Bills or the Vikings.

Still Parcells is going to make them respectabe. Kinda sucks we won't be able to count on gimme wins in the future.

How are they over rated? They haven't been spoken about since 2003 until now and this 2008 team is VERY deserving of praise. The last two games have been awfully impressive and now with the cupcakes coming in, it bears mentioning.

Um yah.. remember when they went 9-7 durin Sabans first year, and then acquired Daunte Culpepper??

They experts predicted they would challenge the Patriots..

Media was drinkin the Kool-aid for you Jetters all off-season when you signed Favre, saying YOU were gonna challenge for the division. They talked about Favre and the Jets so much I had to stop watching ESPN and NFLN all together to prevent myself from vomiting Jets colors.

When your team goes undefeated and wins back to back Superbowls, then you'll understand why we're always overrated.

Now, that being said, I haven't seen us being rated anything for the last couple years. I never once heard last year "Boy these 0-12 Miami Dolphins sure do play tough football, look for them to win their last 3 games".

This year, during the last 6 games, we're 4-2, when pro teams go 4-2 in a stretch and the 4 teams that they beat had winning records, those teams tend to get a little notice.

Just like I said, the Dolphins went undefeated 36 years ago and that's why they will always be overrated.

In all seriousness, yeah. Get ready to start hearing about them again too, with Tennessee still undefeated going into week 10, all of those ESPN analyst love bringing up the Champagne crap and the drama of "can they do it".

Overrated??? No one predicted them to do anything b4 the season and they had a very good chance to beat us in the 1st match-up. How that woud have changed our outlook had it happened.

They have a fairly soft schedule so they will be in the play-off hunt. If they get in, Mr. Pennington may see some MVP votes.

I wouldn't say overrated. But that have been a team to be reckoned with in the division where no one thought they would be relevant.

Gotta give credit where credit is due.
