Lets go Jets!

Thats very cool of you to post the local sports coverage take of the game. There's lots of us posters that only get to listen to the national major networks "expert" take by people a lot more removed from the Jets day to day activities. Anytime anyone can throw up video like this I think it's a great service to the board. Thanks Bro.

OT: btw - you can still throw a jack with the other hand can't you?

The key to today is the Jets defense getting sacks and picks. With their RB situation and the Jets run defense, the Rams will scrap their running attack coming out of the tunnel. Expect pass, pass, pass. And Bulger and those 2 WRs are good. Seems like we are always facing a good QB and WRs. But when you absolutely know what your opponent is going to do, it should be much easier. With this coaching staff I will emphasize the word "should". We need to get a minimum of 4 sacks and 2 picks for this game to be a laugher instead of another thriller. Controlling the ball with Jones and efficient passes will help keep Bulger off the field as well.

good stuff DM...this is the week that we stop screwing around and come out and play to OUR level and not down to our opponent's level. Thery need to show us something today...I WANT to believe in this team this year

on edit lookit how Smizzy and Mrs TJ taught the old guy how to use the BOLD feature

Yes, SFJ. I think last week was the first week that Mangini and crew coached a complete game taking advantage of the talent on this team instead of their favorite Xs and Os on a blackboard. If they really stomp on the Rams today, I think there is real hope that we have turned things around and we can forget the "same old Jets" for the rest of this year.

Good luck today Jets fans! Once again i'm stuck watching a lesser game. I get Baltimore vs Houston before my Steelers vs Colts at 4. Dunno why but that website i get the games on is absolutely horrible these days. I'll be lucky to see a few plays. Yet in pre-season, i had very few problems with the site.

the rams are a pretty bad run defense.

pass d can be skewed by teams always throwing on a team because that team is in the lead, but that is not the case with the rams, and they also have a poorly ranked pas d

run D = #29

pass D = #28

pts per game D = #31

this is not a bend but don't break D, this D bends and breaks

this is a game to pound it with jones, and keep brett "stupid rookie throw" favre in 3rd and short

Jets are tied with the Pats and Bills for the AFC East. Dolphins are only 1 game away from the lead. We can not let St. Louis come to OUR HOUSE and rob us of the AFC East lead. We gotta stay hungry! We have to make Marc Bulger respect our D! We have to get pressure on him so he can rush his throws. We have done this all year.

Brett Favre has to get on a rhythm, DON'T TURN THE BALL OVER! Special Teams has to be good.

Inactives:

Rams: QB Brock Berlin (3rd), RB Travis Minor, RB Steven Jackson, LB Chris Draft, G Roy Schuening, T John Greco, DE Eric Moore, CB Tye Hill.

Analysis: RBs Kenneth Darby, Antonio Pittman and Samkon Gado will share carries with Jackson out. None of this trio is a safe option in fantasy leagues.

Jets: QB Brett Ratliff (3rd), K Mike Nugent, WR David Clowney, CB Justin Miller, RB Marcus Mason, SS Eric Smith, LB David Harris, TE Bubba Franks.

Analysis: WRs Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cothery are active and will start. K Jay Feely will continue to handle the field-goal kicking duties against the Rams.
