You said your 21, right?

What the hell does the troubled economy do to you? I assume you have some job, right?

All that money you built up in your 401K in 1 year of working that you wont touch for 44 years troubling your right now?

Is your mutual fund portfolio taking a hit?

1 year of working? I've been working since high school my friend.

this is the time we're entering. I predict in 2020 America will no longer be a "first world" country and we'll all be flee'ing to Europe.

my point is that there are better ways to invest $$$ than by spending it on sporting tickets. and yes i don't have a career yet, but I will soon enough and I'll still watch TV then too. TV is at it's best these days in terms of sports coverage. camera's are better than ever etc.

my ex roomie called me yesterday and said he was on his way to get Patriot tix (he's a pats fan), dude wonders why he's always broke, it's bc he spends way too much on tix (he goes to C's games alot too)

i'd rather invest $$$ into my car or my living situation, or my vinyl collection, personally. but where I live that involves me making a long commute (by car or taking the bus).

Everything you said is fine. Wont argue with a thing.

But absolutely none of it has anything to do with the economy, but rather your feelings on the value of going to games.

OK so lets try this again, you dont seem to get it.

You blame not going on the economy...

Prior to this recent crash... (lets use fake #'s for fun)

You made - $4000 a month

Your gas cost you - $500 a month

Your rent cost you - $1200 a month

That left you with $2300 for other things

After this crash which YOU blame not being able to go to games on...

You make - $4000 a month

Your gas costs you - $200 a month

Your rent costs you - $1200 a month

That leaves you with $2600 for other things

My point is that blaming it on the economy makes no sense, you should in fact have ME money now.

Cool: no phone bill, no electric bill, no cable bill, no car insurance, no food expenses, no car payment, no incidental costs of living... Sign me up, how do I get that gig?
