Well, and for PSL's too. ;)

Huge game. A game Chad could never win after 2002, unless he was playing the Oakland Raiders Week 17 at home in 2006. Get it done. The defense and running game are in place, all you have to do is manage us and make a couple of Faverian throws deep downfield on New England's sad sack patch work secondary.

This is a MUST win if we're to win the AFC East. Brett will need to step up. He's been decent over the last few weeks playing as a game manager. I don't think we'll run the ball on the Pats like we did the Chiefs, Bills, Rams etc. So chances are Favre will have to make some plays. I get nervous EVERY time he throws the ball which is not good, he can't afford to make stupid throws vs the Pats.

I got nervous every time Chad threw the ball as well...At least with Favre we know if he doesn't make a mistake, he can REALLY make things happen out there. Something Chad could never really do for us.

As long as Favre doesn't try any deep throws to covered receivers we'll be just fine.

This offense is seriously lacking a guy who can get open down the field though.

I can't stop watching that 54 yarder to Keller though from todays game on highlights

though. Wish we could get more big plays like that.

Well put IJ. Are we contenders or pretenders? We'll know after this game.

I agree, getting Favre means nothing until we beat NE. The first game killed me this year, but I'll chalk that up to chemistry. Jets have to get it done if they really want to be considered a contender and win this division.

GO JETS!!!

those two dropped INTs yesterday by the Rams would have BEEN interceptions against New England. That is a team that catches those errant throws and tipped balls. Look for the Patriots killer Jerricho Cotchery to be a big force in our game plan Thursday night.

Me thinks Favre's going to have to win it this week. Much easier to throw on them then run it..

Pull out the dead horse because I'm going to beat it: the game is on Mangini.

Favre has to avoid the stupid INTs, of course, but if Mangini & Sutton decide to use the no-pressure defense again they should both be beaten about the face and chest with a blunt instrument.

Also, offensively, Mangini should not fall into the trap of thinking the Jets are a smashmouth running team. They're a good, effective running team but they can beat down opponents on the ground late, rather than early.

The Jets have to pass early to exploit the secondary, but they can't do the empty backfield early like they did against the Raiders because the Pats expert DLine will eat the Jets up in that situation. Conventional passing formation should be effective, especially since Favre remembered in recent days that Keller is on the team.

I think our defense needs to win this for us. The Pats don't have an offense, but get it done somehow. I don't know how we on 3rd downs against the Rams, but thats usually where the pats get us, moving the chains..We need to get to this QB and rattle him, and we should be good.

As I always say, I would love to win every game 3-0. LETS GO D!

I thought you were going to say that at least with Favre it doesn't look like it's in super slow mo :)

Favre can really blow this game. The past couple of weeks, defenders have been dropping sure pick 6s, or at least sure picks. I counted 2 just yesterday. The Pats will catch the ball and they won't go down by 40 in the first half either. Favre, if he makes stupid mistakes, could cost us the win.

Here's to hoping that instead, he plays out of his mind and is why we win the game.

I really feel like for a lot of reasons, a lot of what Brett has said about what he thinks of this jets team and its potential, he wants to win this game as much as he has wanted to win any game in his career, and I just have a feeling he is going to put the hammer to them.

Here is the interesting thing if you are NE looking at the last few weeks, Brett hasn't really tried to force much, hasn't gone deep, but managed the game and let the run do the job of creating the offense for us. BUT, there was Arizona and this IS brett favre. So which way do you go because you can't be everywhere.I say after the lull in the passing attack the last few weeks, we are going to light them up, especially with another threat in Dustin and the injury to Adelius. With the way our defense has played, I will go on record as saying I am completely comfortable with Favre airing it out and possibly getting picked here or there. We WILL NOT win this game by being cautious, Bellidick is too good a coach to take that kind of gameplan and not exploit it. Let Favre keep the defense honest and respect the deep ball, we will get lucky on one or two deep plays and it will open up the short game and the rushing attack, and if he gets picked it will likely be deep in their territory where I have new confidence in the defense, Jenkins will crush them all!
