Can We Get A Little Love For Cody Spencer?

this kid has been playing pretty good football-on ST's and he started the 2nd half over Bowens at LBer...think about what's going on here Jets fans, we lost our leading tackler David Harris and haven't missed a beat. Our highly touted 1st round draft pick has been invisible and Jets fans aren't lining bridges and ledges all over the country yet...this team is DEEP-deepest we've seen in a decade

Lets not put Spencer into the Hall of Fame yet. There were a lot of subs put

in on the defense in the second half. I saw Devito and dare I say Gholston and a few

others. You can take it to the bank unless there's a mountain of injuries or

we have another 40 point game you won't be seeing Spencer in again unless its

on special teams.

who knows Senior, Cody Spencer might be one of those guys like say Larry Izzo or the guy from Buffalo who made the Hall as a special teamer...he HAS been in on every ST's tackle lately...I like the way he WHOOs too after making a big play

Jim, Spencer did play well but one thing I don't asgree on is the team having depth. If Jenkins gets hurt we're screwed. If Ellis gets hurt it's going to be a big blow. If Revis or Rhodes get hurt we will experience a dramatic deficiency in pass coverage.

On offense if we lose Favre or anyone on the OL we're screwed as well. I think our starters have been very good but depth is not a strong point of ours.

yea there are a few irreplaceables on every team, and IMO Jenkins is THE most important player on the 08 squad-but hey, we lost our top tacler David Harris and haven't been to badly affected...BTW how badass was Eric Barton yesterday?

The Jets depth is weakest at o-line. Tremendous drop off from the starting 5 to the backups. Pray they stay healthy all year. Next year, we need to improve the depth.

Speaking of the starters, how about Brandon Moore? This dude has been dishing it out.
