villain_the_foe
In the NFL Stats the Jets are #1 in the league in total Touchdowns with 30. #1 in the league in 4th down Percentage 8 for 9 #2 in the league in "points scored" with 255 (#1 Giants with 262. We're #1 in AFC) #2 in the league in total Sacks with 31 (#1 is Pittsburgh with 34. We're #1 in AFC East) #3 in the league in defensive Touchdowns with 4 (#1 in AFC) #5 in the league in rushing defense with 3.2YPC (#3 in AFC) #6 in the league in Kick Returns with avg. 25Yds (#4 in AFC) #9 in the league in rushing with 123YPG (#5 in the AFC and #2 in AFC East) #9 in the league in total tackles with 642 (#7 in AFC & #1 in AFC East) #10 in the league in Interceptions with 9 total (#6 in AFC) #14 in the league in Total Yards with 332YPG (#5 in AFC and #1 in AFC East) #15 in the league in passing with 208YPG (#7 in the AFC) #16 in the league in Receiving with 10.2YPC (#8 in AFC #3 in AFC East) Though on the field the games doing look too good but when you look at it on paper you really get to see the difference in this team. We're in the top 5 in the league in TD's, Points scored, total sacks, defensive TD's and rushing defense. We're in the top ten in the league in almost every major category and we're no lower than 16th best in the league in major categories in the league. As for the AFC We're in the top 5 in many major categories and are in the top eight in EVERY major category, which is great when you have 16 teams in your conference and the lowest you touch is #8 and thats in only 1 category. We're pretty much in the top 5 the rest of the way. Now as for Special Teams, our offensive special teams suck azz a lil'bit as well as for our Passing Defense. #32 (DEAD LAST) in punting with 42.3 avg. (However we have the 2nd lowest punts in the NFL only trailing cardinals with 28 which we are tied for #1 in the AFC so our punting isnt so serious at the moment). #14 in the league in fieldgoals with 16 out of 21 (#6 in the AFC which isnt too bad) #21 in the league in Passing Defense with 223YPG (#11 in AFC and #3 in AFC East) "This is the Jets ONLY Major stat thats not in the top 10 in the AFC, yet the Jets are still better than more than half the league and this is there worst major stat". In otherwords people, look at what the Jets have done and it was done with very little chemistry. The JETS/RAMS game was the first game that I felt the sense of chemistry with this team. People are so worried about our Pass Defense, please dont be. Its a FACT that the Jets defense, especially its secondary turns it on during the second half of the year right? Look at that game yesterday. Its Week 10 in the league folks, It looked like Poteat, Rhodes, Elam, Lowery, and Revis really turned it on yesterday as a unit (got a few INT's, fumble recovery, forced fumbles, sacks etc.) This team is truely on its way! Its a proud time to be a Jet's fan, and it'll show this Thursday!
Maxman
If you can stop the run, sack the QB and keep your own turnovers to a minimum you are going to be in very good shape. I like their chances.

Bergen Jet
If you can stop the run, sack the QB and keep your own turnovers to a minimum you are going to be in very good shape. I like their chances. To me the main key to winning in the NFL is: Win the battle in the trenches. Both the offensive and defensive lines are more than capable of doing this against anybody. On offense winning the battle in the trenches leads to establishing the run, controlling the clock and giving receivers a chance to get open. On defense winning the battle in the trenches prevents the other team from doing the above. Couple the battle in the trenches with the ability to create turnovers while minimizing your own turnovers and penalties and you have a chance to win EACH week. I too like our chances.
