NBC KEEPS COLTS-CHARGERS ON NOVEMBER 23

Posted by Mike Florio on November 10, 2008, 11:49 a.m.

For the first week of flex scheduling, coming on November 16, NBC opted to keep the previously-designated game between the Cowboys and the Redskins.

For the second week of flex scheduling, NBC again will keep the game it was given in April: Colts at Chargers.

The two teams played last year in San Diego on a Sunday night during the regular-season, and the Chargers later went to Indy and upset the Colts in the playoffs.

Also, FOX has moved the November 23 game between the Panthers and Falcons from 1:00 p.m. EST to 4:15 p.m. EST. Along with Giants at Cardinals and Redskins at Seahawks, these three games will form the back end of FOX

Great, we do great at 1pm and I especially enjoy 1pm games.

1pm games are my favorite when I'm at home, like I will be for this game, but there is nothing better than 4pm games when you're going to the game -- you can sleep in more (if you don't have sleeping problems like me) and tailgate a little more for those games.

Yep.

It is amazing that I can't remember the last time the Jets won a 4:15 game. When I realized the Jets were playing the Raiders at 4:15 I immediately said, "Uh oh." I don't know what it is with the late Sunday game.

Sunday night and Monday night isn't bad, but the 4:15 game is the kiss of death for the Jets.

Im shocked, because I thought for sure Madden was ready for a Favre love fest.

Can't do anything when CBS had already proteted the game.

Before the season starts, or before the end of September, I forget which it is, CBS and FOX can protect 5 games each between Weeks 11-17 that the NFL cannot make into 8pm games. Jets-Titans was one of CBS' 5, but I believe thats the only Jet game they protected.

Look for Jets-Broncos at The Meadowlands on November 30th to be flexed to 8pm. I can almost guarentee that.

I prefer the 1PM games for tailgating. Get there and eat something beforehand and still have time to tailgate afterwards without getting home at like 11. Let's me enjoy the game and study when I get home.

LOL...was thinkin the same thing bro.

WE, lets just say your definition of tailgating is just a little bit different than ours...

My definition is: stay by 5H for as long as possible, without knowing who's driving me and what time I'll be leaving at or going. No alcohol or anything--but I know for a fact that will stick until after I'm 21. The only real difference would be getting down there and back, which I can't dictate unfortunately.

The alcohol part is the difference I was refferring to. When I think tailgate, I think beer. Lots of beer. And some burgers and hot dogs as well.

Meh--I don't plan on drinking beer in the future. It's just another mind-altering substance, I can do fine without them. Besides, the taste isn't anything to brag about, over say, Lucozade. I don't mind beer drinkers or anything, but I just don't plan on doing it.

By the way, something like alcohol shouldn't be defining of one's age, as many people my age drink too. I choose not to, like Arsis just said, you don't need it to have fun.
