I thought a hit-and-run was when you hit somebody or another car with somebody in it and drive off.

I didn't think hitting a building counts as a hit and run. Unless this guy somehow did damage to the building, which is hard to imagine if he just backed into it.

Technically it's anything you HIT, that's the key word. Building, tree, guardrail etc.

I thought the whole reason hit-and-run was so bad was that you could injure a person in an accident and be the only person on the scene who could get them necessary medical attention which might save their life. This guy backed into a building. Unless he did some minor damage to some clapboard, and even that is not likely, I would think the building is none the worse for wear.

The Bengals have a bunch of people in trouble with the law for sure, but this seems pretty minor. Drunken driving is not good, but the hit-and-run aspect of this seems strange.
