lawngnome o-line
I'm actually thinking he'll make a pick late in the game, just so the announcers can say what a great pick up he was by Mangini.
PatriotReign37
Law sucks. I watched all the KC games last year and he plays 15 feet away fom the WR because he is petrified he'll get burned deep. He was good defending the run game, but as a CB slow as the second coming of Christ. He needs to move to S.

Jetlag
Basically what it came down to is this. He went with the team he felt would not only win this game but he felt had a better chance in the playoffs. Suck it Patsies!
Garb
Translation: The Patriots didn't want me, so I signed with the only team that offered me a contract. Transalation: yah, I talked to Pioli - many months ago - the money wasn't there - but that did not prevent me from using them to squeeze more money out of the Jets because Mangini is obsessed with BB. Ty is still a good player - but please, never describe him as a team first guy. He's all about the money...and nothing else. What did the Jest pay him? SoFlaJets
Fine with me. The absolute worst he should be is David Barrett with good hands. exactly Dom...except with better ball skills-no CB can catch a football better than Ty Law-something that DB's aren't real good at, otherwise they'd be WRs
victorjets
What did the Jets pay him? "Maybe Law knows something. He said he wanted to sign with a contender and, reading between the lines, he evidently felt the Jets presented the better opportunity. The decision wasn't driven by money. He signed a one-year contract for the veterans' minimum ($830,000), which means he will earn a pro-rated $340,000 for seven games." http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/2008/11/11/2008-11-11_expatriot_ty_law_rejoins_jets_before_fir.html

flgreen
How good would it feel for Law to take a pick 6 on Thursday. This is the reason that Law was signed at this time. If Law is to be believed, and I think in this case at least he is telling the truth, I have to assume he thinks the Jets can beat the pats, and he can help. At 34 he isn't ancient. He is still a lot better then a lot of CB's in the league. He could have signed with some one early on. The pats have a weak secondary. I'm sure he is being truthful when he says he was close to signing with them. I think he waited until this point in the season because he is a "Me" person. He is fresh right now, and his body isn't all beat up. He can be "The Star" coming down the stretch. He would love to be know as the missing piece that put the Jets over the top for a Super Bowl. At first I didn't like the move, but the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. A big late game pick would be sensational. I wonder if he is now off "The Weasel's" Christmas card list. Guess we'll find out Thursday.
lawngnome o-line
So when it comes down to it, he is actually CHEAPER than Deangelo Hall would have been for the Jets to get. When it comes down to it, is there really that much of a difference. Both Pro-bowlers, both prima donnas. Deangelo Hall can blow up and get personal fouls against him and let guys go behind him. Ty Law can break a hip when trying to make a cut. Either way we got the cheaper and better option between these two.
