NIGHT STALKER
We scored 200 runs less than we did in 2007. We're losing Giambi and probably Abreu. Any ideas what the hell we're going to do to not only replace those two, but make up for the 200 less runs? Unless Gardner turns into the second coming of Mickey Mantle...:rl:that ain't happening. Maxman
Giambi has negative speed, getting him off the bases will bring in an additional 46 runs alone.

Small Ball. Small ball is more consistent than Giambi-ball. You manufacture runs, and therefore score a lot. I'd rather replace the power bats with consistent hitters with some speed. anskyruben
If Jorge and Godzuki are healthy, runs will be produced.

shawn306
This is something that has gone on for a long time. It started in the post season and this past year it spread to the regular season. They need to hit ALOT better with runners is scoring position. Cano was brutal, Posada missed a good portion of the season as did Matsui. It looks like they are going to spend a ton of money on pitching, they might want to save some of that for a 1st baseman and maybe a CF.
