Opposites

I am just curious about your opinion to this question...

Do opposites attract?

Just wondering

There is no rhyme or reason to anything related to love and/or physical attraction. So while in some cases opposites may attract I am sure you will find way more instances of people with similar interests attracting...

It can work either way--love is a complicated thing that can't be defined by a strict set of laws. Opposites can attract, just like in nature, but similarities can also be good. The best would be a mix of the two.

Sometimes its better to be opposites....You have a bit of everything dont you think???

I guess you arent the sensitive type to do things together hehe

News flash, the only time guys are interested in doing stuff with women is when they're trying to get them in the sack. Other than that they'd rather be hanging out with their friends doing guy stuff.

Not always, there are guys who want to do stuff with their significant other.......

The gf and I both play tennis, hike and she's a football junkie. But we have lots of stuff we do by ourselves or with friends.

Yeah that's a good balance, the girls I've been with don't know anything about sports let alone play any and that was my 'escape', besides video games. Would like to date someone who does like football/sports though. I think its important for both to have friends though. Sounding like Dr. Phil now....WTF?!

As long as the girl tolerates you watching or playing that's OK. But if they want to "change" you then it won't work.

My fiance is a Democrat, I'm a Republican.

She hates sports, I love sports.

She's always on time, I'm always late.

She's an early riser, I'm a night owl.

The amount of opposites that I have with her are very funny actually, but things couldn't be better and we respect each other just the same, despite our differences.

She is normal, you are a slacker. You left that one out.

You must have some common interests no?

Opposites work as long as there is some common ground where both of you are the same. It doesn't need to be on what interests you each have, but perhaps on what are you looking for, something serious or something light, what kind of future you want.

Really as long as the big questions are answered the same, all the other little things can get worked out if both people want to.

Yeah, we have some. We both love my daughter, have similar morals and values, and respect each other's opinion.

Hell we don't even like the same TV shows and rarely watch TV together, at least when sports is on. Yet somehow, we get along great. Perhaps that's the secret.

I can't see how being joined at the hip, 24/7 can be a good thing. Common values are a good thing. Some similar interests are a good thing....but you need some seperateness and independence of thought and activity to maintain the freshness and yourself. You know, the person that other person fell for in the first place? :)

BTW - GOB, I am far from a Catholic zealot, that's for sure - but that picture is disturbing.

Yeah, I think you have to have time to yourself or at least, time to do/watch the things you want in any relationship from time to time, to keep it healthy. You can't forget your friends and you can't spend every waking minute with the other or else inevitably, you'll just get on each other nerves.
