Jets Voice of Reason
Came in and played a major role The guy was READY TO PLAY manhandling Moss all game::GoJets: I was okay with Law's performance. He definitely looked rusty out there. Keep in mind that Law never went 1 on 1 with Moss at any point in this game. He constantly had Rhodes providing double coverage. He Jammed Moss at the line with the knowledge that Rhodes would provide Safety help. Which was a good game plan. But when Law got switched over to single cover Gaffney, he gave up way too much cushion and looked unsure. One thing is for sure, we badly need to upgrade the secondary in the offseason. RSJ
Ty played a great game. OTOH Lowery needs to get his head out of his a$$. Anyone see Jenkins scream at him to catch the f'n ball at the end of the game?

Law will be fine by next week. What can you expect with two days of practice? Still I agree we need another CB this offseason.

Anyone see Jenkins scream at him to catch the f'n ball at the end of the game? I saw this and it was great....Rhodes was doing the same thing. Jenkins IS the Defense MVP on this team, he is our Ray Lewis. I love it. GO JETS!

Still I agree we need another CB this offseason. I understand that it was sure time to practice and he hasn't had training camp or game contact until today. That's fine. He'll play better as the season goes along and he was a good signing that I was in favor of. I just wanted to make it clear that Moss wasn't manhandled 1 on 1 by Law as was implied by the original post. My feeling is just that we are going to be kind of restricted in the way we are going to be able to use him.
rillo
He played a good game other than the TD (all Moss there). He can only get better and more confident. Good Job Ty!

Yeah well I think we have Revis, and then a bunch of guys who hopefully can match up well with what they have. Still Barrett has to be better than Lowery at covering Gafney, no? rillo
I haven't seen a Jet CB get owned that bad by a JAG in a long time. JAG= Jarbar Gaffney? He killed Buffalo....not in yardage, but in key grabs....I was worried about him and Faulk coming into this game.
ZachEY
Came in and played a major role The guy was READY TO PLAY manhandling Moss all game::GoJets: He did. And for the life of me, I cannot understand why he was not in press coverage on that last play. It was working. Oh, and on that deep ball that was overthrown, why the hell was Carrol on Moss. Was that a joke?
Jets Voice of Reason
No he didnt, Law only played on him for a little bit... it was Lowery almost all night... Law AND Rhodes owned Moss... Fixed Law played really good physical press coverage, but he played like a liability out there in his own island. It's his first game so i'll cut him some slack, but he definitely needs to play a little better. And you were right about Law being switched off to Gaffney later in the game. (And I still do not know why we made the switch at the end of the game) I'd much rather make dropsies Gaffney beat us than Randy Moss at the end of the game. Oh, and on that deep ball that was overthrown, why the hell was Carrol on Moss. Was that a joke? No freaking clue. No freaking clue at all. Revis had a good game again today btw. Really limited Welker to start the game, and than limited Randy Moss when they switched off. Also, what a smart player. He prevented a huge gain when he saw a receiver being completely uncovered at the line and ran over to him.
gang_green03
I was pleasantly suprised Law actually had a pretty solid game. He still can't cover anybody but he did well using his strengths in being physical and some good ball skills. To bad the one time he decided to have great coverage Moss makes a ludcris catch. He did well against Law, it wa like having two Welkers there.
Jbro22
There was a point where Moss had a huge reception if he dove. He would of landed at the 5 yard line and wouldn't of had the TD. He said F' it, TD or nothing. Thank god hes a piece of **** or we would of been F'ed. He F'ed us for too long, he made Chad look like a good decision as far a draft picks go, and we all know what happened there.
yisman
why was he singled up on Moss at the end of regulation? WTF?
Jbro22
why was he singled up on Moss at the end of regulation? WTF? Doesn't matter who was covering Moss, that ball was in a spot where only Moss could of made that play. If Law gave moss the inside it would of been a much easier completion, not to mention the pass interference that wasn't called on Law. Plus, I forgot who it was but Moss was doubled and there was a Dback waiting for moss to cut back, but Law gave him the outside. Can't fault Law though, he was doing his job. You don't leave Law on an island with Moss with a chance to finish the game right there.
