As much as we hate the patriots, that MAYO can play some ball. with Mayo's developement, V Gholston has alot of catching up to do.

A win is a win and ill take it, but with all the injuries the Pats have gone through, and the way the 1st half played out . the jets failed to go for the jugular. This should of been a 3 score victory rather then a OT victory. If the Pats would of won OT coin toss , JETS fans would of been blaming everything and everybody including the statue of Jesus on the neighborhood church

and yet, the team showed a ton of heart, and still managed to win.

It wasn't perfect, but they got it done.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

The Jets can only play the team that's in front of them. They can't play this mythical team with everyone healthy.

They played the Pats, beat them, are 1 game better with a better division record (essentially, a 2 game lead over the Pats).

That said, this game should have been at least a 10 point victory (I mentioned that before the game). And I would say that coaching was a big reason it wasn't. Regardless, the players made just enough good plays and the coaches made just enough good decision for the Jets to come out on top.

By the way, this is not one of those games in which you say, "Oh, if the opponent had this..." or "The Jets should have been able to do this..."

This is a win game.

What is a win game? It's a game you just have to win. It doesn't matter how, you just have to win it.

Remember the AFC Championship game in 2006 between the Colts & Pats?

Each team gave up a ton of yards and points, but the Colts prevailed. That was a win game for them. They didn't care how they did it, all they cared about is winning.

The Jets can worry about padding their team stats against other teams. When they're facing the Pats, or any other division opponent that is a threat to the division title, all that matters is winning.

Don't beat yourself up for feeling like a douche. It's only natural.

And, of course, the object is winning every game, but when the Colts gave up a ton of yards and points againt the Pats in 2006, did you see any idiot Colts fan saying, "Man, if they give up so many points and yards againt another team that's not good" or "****, if they play like this against someone else they're going to lose."

No, of course not. The Jets could have won this game 10-7 with Favre throwing 3 INTs and it wouldn't matter. In other words, how well or how poorly the Jets play is irrelevant so long as they win.

In other games, we care about whether they win or lose, but we also care about how they play. In this game, that doesn't matter.

Your right Chad...ITS THE ONLY STAT THAT MATTERS..The f**kin 'W"!!! there are no extra points for blow outs...The axiom in every NFL locker room is just win the game and move on..There are no extra points for blow outs..its not he damn BCS..its based on wins and losses..thats all..Wining on the road in the NFL is freakin hard and the Jets have gotten 2 HUGE win AT Buffalo and Foxbourough...Hell yes..Coach Mangini is my coach and the Jets are in first place..Thank you Coach Mangini
