Major Lesson Learned For This Coaching Staff

This season has been all about gelling, coming together as a team, learning from mistakes and growing into a cohesive unit for the players, especially for Favre and the offense. Hell the difference in Favre in the past few weeks is remarkable and the same can be said for the Defense, who played a great game, but were victims of being on the field WAY too long last night.

Well I can only hope that the Coaching Staff got a major dose of reality last night with what I believe was complacency in their ongoing game plan and poor game time adjustments in the 2nd half.

This CS had an excellent game plan set and executed it to near perfection, right up until the 2 minute warning in the first half. The moment the Jets decided to sit on the lead, you could feel the momentum shift and the door open for the Patriots.

The best defense is a good offense and last night was a classic example of that fact.

The Jets started out flat in the 2nd because of play calling, and play calling alone. It was as if we weren't supposed to be there and got scared. We also weren't the best repaired for the inevitable no huddle spread offense that they used in week 2.

Crap happens and in the end, the Jets won....but you only get better through trial and error and the Jets got a second chance to learn a major lesson last night.

If your game plan works, stick with it. If the attack works, keep attacking...and be ready for the desperation move on the enemy's part.

I'm proud of these players, damn am I proud of them.

But I hope in the end, the CS changed their drawers and said "Not Again"

This game, and the second half can only make this team stronger.

But they weren't trying to sit on the lead. If they were they'd have kept handing it to Jones, which would have made all the sense in the world since it was working so well. They made their halftime adjustment and opted to try alot of screens to Washington and handed the ball off to him quite a bit. We completely shut down when we did that because it wasn't working at all.

I'm convinced the defense is the new Chad Pennington. Every game they breakdown and generally suck, people say they are "victims" of being left out on the field too long..

When in reality, the Jets once again won the TOP battle in regulation 31:28-28:32, meaning they were on the field less then the Pats defense.

Not to mention that if the defense wanted to get off the field, perhaps they should stop letting opposing teams move up and down the field against them so easily..
