ECURB
for starters his lob to coles on the sideline that was overturned woulda been a pick 6 He makes the same deep throw to Cotch that Favre did... that was a duck... lol I dont want to compare throws... not going to get that far into it... just saying with a 24-6 lead he wins... he plays his best with a lead... Who cares though honestly.

ECURB
What did Favre do to give up that lead? I dont know that he can be blamed himself... he was just listening to his coaches... Who the **** cares, the JETS now have a 2 game lead on Pennington and the Phins... thats all that matters.
serphnx
With a good CS, Pennington can easily beat the Pats, in fact, he beat them by 25 earlier this year I believe it was. But with this CS? No way. Favre might be the only QB in the league capable of winning with these morons. I'll be paying a real interest to the Fins-Pats game, in all honesty I expect Chad to cruise to victory against them.
rillo
No way, No way does Chad throw that ball down field to cotch (helmet catch). No way does Chad hit Keller in the seams of the zone coverage between the LB'ers. We've seen Vrabel and Bruschi pick that off year after year. HardKoreXXX
Guys, the Dolphins are 5-4...We're 7-3. For the Phins, 5-4 is great... For most teams, 5-4 is mediocre. We'll see where they're at come playoff time. Im willing to bet the farm that they're sitting at home. Have you seen our schedule? We still have KC, SF, and St. Louis. No to mention the Raiders at home this week... although they beat you guys so manybe thats not such a lock

I think it would probably exorcise all the Pats trolls. The Fins trolls actually aren't that bad, plus we always beat them anyway. So far it looks like only Garb is sticking around in the NFL forum, and PFSikh has been on duty and has been posting only in the Lounge I think. HardKoreXXX
Just concentrate on beating the Pats this week. You mean next week? We're on it. Sparano has done a brilliant job of keeping this team focused week in and week out. The Pats seem much improved from week 3 when Cassel couldnt get out of his own way. That comeback was pretty amazing.

nyjfan
Pennington loses the game because all DB's come in close so the short passing game struggles and wouldn't be able to establish a run game.

Who cares though honestly. You're making a massive assumption that Chad would have even attempted that pass in the first place. To say nothing of the fact that Favre didn't do anything to blow a lead. His protection & ground game vanished. Or would Pennington have prevented Cotchery from fumbling, or Keller from dropping a TD pass in his hands as well? We lose this game with Pennington. Favre is money, I like the guy... Im just saying I think Chad could have won the game too... with TJ rushing the way he was and with Keller/Leon/Coles/Cotch... We will never know and that doesn't bother me... Chad already beat the Pats easier than the JETS did with less of a team... I think that should be enough proof... Chad can make that deep throw though... that was a classic Chad ball... lol Either way... **** Chad - **** the Phins - GO FAVRE AND THE JETS! But you make that leap to assume that Jones would have the same running lanes with Pennington as he has with Favre. It's not like Jones, in his good games, hasn't had the room to run. What we would have had, in a couple of our wins (like last night) was that Peyton Manning wouldn't have done any better when Chad's briefly-open receivers & downfield passing opportunities disappear due to his slow windup and slow floaters. Only good thing you wrote here was **** Chad. The rest is crap.
Garb
Probably not.... I only say probably because he doesn't have the strength to stick it in Keller's ribs like Farve.... DEFINITELY NOT.
SeniorFlaJet
Probably not.... I only say probably because he doesn't have the strength to stick it in Keller's ribs like Farve.... Two things about that play. Not too many QBs throw a faster ball than Favre. Assuming that it gets to Keller a few mph slower maybe the DB gets to Keller and knocks it away. Also in the postgame interview, Favre said the reason he threw it to Keller was that he noticed on the sideline that Belli was waiving to the DBs to get back and apparently he realized that Keller was the best option. Now how many QBs have that sense of what's going on during a game. I think it was last week or the week before when he noticed the opposing team taking their time getting off the field and he snapped the ball quickly to get a too many men on the field call. These are things that not too many QBs would even think of.

But then again, the whole premise of this thread goes all for not. You don't know how a certain player will play in different circumstances. For instance, Chad is having the best year of his career with a new team, system and receivers. But I do know that Chad had a 21-6 halftime lead in Foxboro this year with the Dolphins and he helped increase the lead; he didn't allow a comeback.
