I love Brett Favre

And I am not ashamed to admit it. :)

Seriously, football greatness aside, we are seeing why he literally was/is a GOD to Packers fans. He is like us (except for the private plane). He speaks from his heart, not football speak. This guy says exactly what is on his mind. He actually admitted in his press conference last night, that the team was down after the last second Moss TD and he was nervous at the start of OT. Nervous!!! He said guys were telling him "this is why you are here" and "go do it, Brett". And he is like "oh, man, can't we just make this easier?". You just don't hear this kind of honesty from pro athlelets.

I don't know how far this team is going this year. I am just glad my lifelong experience with the jets now includes this legend.

Let's enjoy the ride.

Great post.

I too can see why Packer fans worshipped him for years/still worship him. The confidence he brings to the team and fans is amazing. This is my best year ever as a JETS fan so far.

You know something, before the Brett Favre trade took place...I said that I wanted him just to retire because it would be so weird seeing him in a Jets uniform after all his years with the Packers.

Now, I consider Brett a JET. I don't care if he's only going to play here for a year or two, or three.

Brett Favre is a Jet and I think he feels it too. He's got that chemistry now with the team. We are a legitimate Super Bowl contender (that's right, I said it).

Now ... that is honesty. :)

yer 1st post here was great. It really is fun being a jetfan this year.

I was never really down last night. not when they tied, not at the end of the game, not when feely stepped on the field in OT.

I was most nervous during the ot coin toss

You know, I was the same way. Believe me I did my usual share of yelling, swearing and threats of violence to the furniture, but I never once did not think the Jets would pull it out. I just knew this game was our destiny to win. When we won the coin toss, I was confident Brett would pull it out. Even on 3rd and 15, I knew he would get it. This is very unusual for me.

yeah exactly. & that is what makes it so great as a fan. knowing there's a good chance of even a 3rd & 15 in ot against a team that has owned us bigtime.

Jenkins was histerical. watching him hold the center while staring down the running back then discarding him to make the tackle when the runner committed.

it's good to be a jetfan right now.... why?...... cause with favre we ain't the same ole jets. I see us gettin better & better as the season progresses.
