Jared
Took me some time to sober up and recover from the worst of my hangover. I think both teams had some issues, and some plays they want mulligans on. I think the way Cassel was moving the ball and Favre was working the middle of the field, it was pretty much guaranteed that whoever won the coin flip was going to win that game. Congrats to the Jets for winning, but I foresee these teams playing one more time.
nyjfan
Yeah, both offenses looked good but our defense was especially bad late in the game. If NE wins the toss then they win the game. Had my adrenaline going for the entire game!
Jared
Yeah, both offenses looked good but our defense was especially bad late in the game. If NE wins the toss then they win the game. Had my adrenaline going for the entire game! Our D on the other hand was up and down. We'd go a few drives just giving up easy pitch and catch plays over the middle to anyone who bothered to line up at TE, but then we'd go a couple drives where the LBs were flying around and lighting people up. (I think when Harrison retires at the end of the season, I'll be getting a blue Mayo to replace my blue Harrison jersey during home games) I think that at the end of regulation, fans for both teams had ulcers. It was going to feel like a crushing defeat for either side. For us Pats fans, it sucks to see all the unforced errors in the 3rd quarter (fumble, botched snap, etc), see the team rally and drive, and then lose. However had the Pats won the flip in OT and driven down for a FG, I imagine this forum (along with JI) would be burning to the ground right now. One of the odd things about this season from the point of view of a Pats fan: As the injuries pile up, the expectations lower. No one after the first quarter of week 1 was expecting a 15-1, 14-2 season, so it is a lot easier to just roll with the punches now. I look on the bright side, hope the Jets lose next week and the Pats beat Miami, and then we're all tied again. Like I said, I look forward to meeting in the playoffs, regardless of which team wins the division and which is the WC.

I was seeing an 8-8 season after the first qtr of the season opener, truth be told. This is all gravy for me. And as the injuries pile up, so does the gravy train. I am amazed at the heart my teams plays with. Love 'em.
