DoubleDown
Really? They said 2-3 weeks. it's been 2-3 weeks. Wasn't the "2-3 weeks" prognosis stated before he had surgery? I wouldn't be surprised to see him out for longer.
jetophile
Wasn't the "2-3 weeks" prognosis stated before he had surgery? I wouldn't be surprised to see him out for longer.I thought it was worded to mean post-surgery, because the FO essentially repeated the same thing when the surgery was made public. Seemed a little unrealistic to me. Maybe I understood the whole thing wrong, or maybe it was just a smokescreen.
biggerbztheJet
It was 2-3 weeks right before we played the rams. I think he could be back after we play the titans if im not mistaken.

Maxman
He isn't going to play this week. I am not sure which one, but I read in some media blog that it was going to be more than the original 2-3 week prognosis. Hopefully that is wrong. jetsrule128
* On the possibility of David Harris practicing this week: "We'll have to see how that goes," Mangini said. "I think he, Eric Smith and Bubba [Franks] are all making progress, so we'll just take it as we go. So we're not going to be out there until Wednesday. They'll be working out here between today and tomorrow, but we'll see where they're all at Wednesday." * Mangini all but confirmed Mike Nugent is just about 100 percent. "We'll go through the week and take a look at it," Mangini said. "It's not anything that we look to decide on Monday. We'll go through the whole course of the week, see how they're kicking the make the decision at the end of the week."

Irish Jet
You'll never know with this team. If Harris had his leg amputated Mangini would probably come out and say he's progressing well.
jack48
Really? They said 2-3 weeks. it's been 2-3 weeks. He had surgery a few weeks back. They said someething about groin. I am betting sports hernia. I am also betting he had this in pre-season and it explains his slow start. Supposedly he is coming back.
jetsrule128
boland says Comment From Jet4life] Any idea if Harris will be ready to comeback for this game? 11:31 Jet4life, well, it was two weeks ago he had the surgery and at the time it was said he would be out 2-3 weeks. mangini said harris was making "progress" but who knows what that means. i think you're looking at another week or two with harris out to be honest. but we haven't had access to players yet this week. let's see if we see him wandering around in the locker room or practice field come tomorrow
jetsrule128
Comment From Lrdzz] With Nugent getting healthy, how long do you see the Jets carrying two kickers on the team? And if one gets the boot, who do you see as the odd man out? 11:43 [Comment From JetsFanDan] Hey Erik, how goes it? I wanted to get your thoughts on our kicking situation. It seems that Nugent is all but back to 100%, but yet Feely has the hot leg and has made some clutch kicks for us despite missing some easy ones on the season. Do we keep riding the hot leg till Feely misses a big kick, or do we throw Nugent (a slow starter) back out there and hope our kicking game doesn't miss a beat? 11:46 lrdzz and jetsfandan (welcome back!), i don't see how they can bench feely at this point. he's been on fire and you're really tempting fate by putting someone in there who hasn't kicked since week 1 and hasn't had a pressure kick all season. i think the jets will carry them both the rest of the season. if feely continues his hot "leg," if you will, he's not that old (31 i believe), which is not that old for a kicker and i wouldn't be shocked if nugent was elsewhere next season. but we're a long way from that happening. that's my thought at this moment
