Bravejamriot
Do they have another option? I can't think of who their #2 is. Or are you think Cassell?
villain_the_foe
ProFootballTalk.com I hope the Jets dont attempt to get him if Favre retires after our superbowl win. I'd rather our "other" Brett behind center.

Scott Dierking
Then the Jets will sign him after Favre retires and Donovan will open the new stadium Brett Favre will have none of that. He will Hmmmm and hawwww for all of February and March, leaving the Jets high and dry for Free Agency. If the Jets are smart, they will pressure him for a decision by February 15. Take it or leave it.

Thats why we will stay with the other 3 we have. Let Favre determine on his own if and when he comes back. And if he does, fine. Otherwise we have 3 qb's who will have to fight for the job. Borgoguy
Didn't Philly have the "should we dump McNabb" discussion last year? This is a move everyone expected them to make after last season. They didn't. Learn.

Then he started playing well and the media blamed the injuries and now he's healthy and awesome. but.... everytime he is mediocre he is scum. Otherwise we have 3 qb's who will have to fight for the job. And I have zero confidence in all three. Kellen Clemens is regressing, supposedly. Erik Ainge is garbage. Brett Ratliff is unknown other than two pretty good garbage time performances in the Preseason. If Brett retires, you go get Donovan if released. Don't need to sign anyone else, just get a veteran QB like Donovan if possible. Get other needs like Offensive Line depth and Secondary depth via the draft. Problem is Favre is going to jerk us around all offseason. I believe we still have him under contract for the next 2 years so if we sign McNabb we would have to deal with trading Favre's rights if he decides he wants to play again.
