SMC
If the Pats lose and they're essentially eliminated from the division title with a 2-3 division record. If Fins lose, they'll be almost done with the division. The Fins have an easier schedule down the road than the Pats, so I say the Fins should lose. 124
New England by at least two touchdowns. You know for sure that Belichick is going to come in here with a 10 day game plan ready to rock & roll and shut down the Wildcat and force Pennington to beat them (HA!). Not only he, but Kraft & the entire Patriots organization / team must be ready to kick the crap out of the Dolphins for how they embarassed them at Gillette. Time to return to the favor. I think the Pats blow this one out, 31-14.

Irish Jet
I'm going for the Fins. Think they can pull it off too. I think Miami dominates Cassell like they did in Foxboro while Pennington, Brown and the Wildcat should do enough to win.

SMC
My bad for ignoring the schedule, but I hadn't realized that the Fins are about to play their 7th home game in 11 games. That's unheard of. They only play 2 teams .500 or better in their last 5, but 4 of those 5 games are on the road. If the Fins lose this game, they're looking at no better than 9-7, which is pretty good. joewilly
I prefer to have the fins in my rear view mirror thanks. #1 we have a game left against them so we're still in control to some degree. #2 you can never count the pats out as far as who wins it's anybody's guess. can fiins keep em offbalance with more trickery? can they defend a much improved cassell advantage pats but barely

HardKoreXXX
The Patsies* are by far the better of the 2 teams. Yes, because a team that is BY FAR better loses to us by 25 points... at home. DMaynard
I am rooting for the Phins, because if we only lose one more game, we can control our destiny by beating the Phins the last week, which I am very confident the Jets will do. That being said, a large part of the Phins success has been the wildcat and trick plays. With the extra time, you can bet Belichick will have his defense ready for that stuff. I am afraid that the Pats will win.

CTM
GO Pats!!!! Not only does Miami have the easiest path to the playoffs in terms of SOS (they have had the easiest remaining schedule in football since the Buffalo game), but they also are the only other team besides us that controls their own destiny. If both us and the Dolphins win out till week 17, we'll be 12-3 and they'll be 11-4. If that happens the game in week 17 is for the division. Why? Cause if Miami wins we'd both be 12-4, we'd have split head to head and Miami would have the better division record based on us losing to NE in week 2. Scary thought right? faba
Miami has such a weak schedule you have to root for NE tio win this game. Also I hate Miami worse.
Verde
I'm torn. I know it's probably better for the Jets if the fins win. However, if the Dolphins defeat NE it makes the Jets win against New England look trivial. Tie anyone?? I just don't see Bellichick losing 2 divisional games in a row. Jetkid94
doesent matter, because as long as we beat miami and buffalo and we end up tying the phins and pats we will get the tiebreaker.

Chad Pennington is incapable of winning more than 10 regular season games. It's part of his DNA. That would be stunning that the Fins would win 9 games in a row to reach week 17 at 11-4. Besides, the Fins have the eastiest SOS of the last 5, but 4 of those 5 games are on the road. Do you really think the Fins would win all those games? The Fins are 6-4 having played 6 of their first 10 games at home. They'll be 7 of 11 at home after this weekend. That is a remarkably beneficial schedule. shawn306
The Dolphins are basically in the same spot the Jets were in last week. Win Sunday and they become legitimate contenders. Lose Sunday: Pretenders. If the Dolphins jump out to a lead like the Jets did you can be sure that they will not things down defensively like the the Jets did last week. They will come after Cassell with guns ablazing and force Cassell to make to make a play. The Pats are still banged up. Who knows if Warren plays this weekend. Great matchup. The Pats haven't had their backs to the wall that often in the past 8 years so it will be interesting to see how they respond. I hope they both just kill each other. If they win next week, we'll need to root for Buffalo to beat them as it's the only chance we have of having a better division record. The buffalo game isn't even a home game for them nor will it likely be in the elements. THe Dolphins have received numerous gifts from the schedule makers.. The Pats on the other hand already have 2 division losses..

124
If the Jets and Pats end up tied at 11-5 with identical division records we'd have to rule out the first two tiebreakers which is head to head and division. The third is COMMON games. Fourth is Conference games. http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures So you'd take out the two games they faced each other as well as the Pats/Steelers and Pats/Indianapolis game as you'd take out Jets/Titans and Jets/Bengals game for us. I'll assume the Patriots and Jets both lose to Pittsburgh and Tennessee, not that it would matter in this circumstance. That would leave us at: Jets: 3 losses in common games Patriots: 2 losses in common games New England would win the division. Point is: We have to beat Buffalo & Miami and pick up two other wins elsewhere (@ SF, @ SEA, @ TEN, vs DEN). 11-5 will win us the division if we beat MIA & BUFF and two games elsewhere. Neither MIA or NE will run the table.
