jetsrule128
No David Clowney once again today for the Jets as he is inactive. The rest of the inactives: Mike Nugent, Brett Ratliff (3rd QB), Marcus Mason, Drew Coleman, Eric Smith, David Harris, Bubba Franks. And for the Titans: QB Chris Simms (3rd QB), WR Paul Williams, WR Chris Davis, CB Nick Harper, RB Chris Henry, OT Mike Otto, DL Jason Jones, DE William Hayes. CB Tyrone Poole, just signed by the Titans, is active. Expect Ty Law in the starting lineup for the Jets.

jetsrule128
There wasn't much question about the Titans' banged-up front seven players being ready to rock and roll. DEs Kyle Vanden Bosch and Jevon Kearse are active and warming up, as is LB Keith Bulluck. But Tennessee's secondary is another matter. The team already announced that backup CBs Eric King and Reynaldo Hill have been IRed, and starting LCB Nick Harper has been deactivated. That means Chris Carr gets the start. Could the Jets be planning a pass-first attack against the tough run defense of the Titans, similar to the 2006 win at Minnesota? We'll see very shortly. Pat Ryan, the former Jets quarterback who now does broadcasting and other duties for the Titans and in the Nashville area, has come into the pressbox and is kibitzing with Rich Cimini of the Daily News, Steve Serby of the Post and others who covered him back in the day. The Jets' inactive list is identical to the Thursday night game at New England: K Mike Nugent, WR David Clowney, RB Marcus Mason, CB Drew Coleman, S Eric Smith, LB David Harris and TE Bubba Franks. Brett Ratliff is the third quarterback. Besides Harper, inactive for the Titans are WRs Paul Williams and Chris Davis (the former Jet), RB Chris Henry, T Mike Otto, DL Jason Jones and DE William Hayes. Chris Simms is the third QB.
