Darth Vader
Watch how things play out for the rest of the year. He's learned a new playbook and system after spending 16 years in GB. He's developed Keller into one of the best looking TEs in the game over the course of the year. He's changed the culture of a Franchise. He's slain the Buffalo from soon to be Toronto when they were in first place. He's slain the Dragon from NE, wresting first sole first place in the division for the first time in ages. He's slain the Titans from undefeated-land. And remember the magic from week one? The toss to Stuckey? He's brought the Fun back into the Football in NY's other large market team. He's a big part of the success of the running game again, and that is not to underestimate the role of the OL. (Bravo to the OL). His offense is unstoppable. He's 39 years old and is on pace for personal best in accuracy and could challenge his personal best for QB rating. He's on pace for 30 TDs. He set a record for 6 TDs in one game. And he's played unbelievably clutch. The season bears watching because not only does the guy keep getting better, but the TEAM does as well. Much is made of stats in the league, and some say that Kurt Warner's are irreproachable. Perhaps. But Favre simply has that magic touch. This guy has absolutely moved the heavens and the stars for this franchise. (And for me.) The balance of power has shifted fundamentally. And he's smacking dudes asses and joking around while doing it. If that's not worth a look, I don't know what is. He's Brett Favre, this is NYC, the greatest stage on Earth. I am so pumped to see what he can do over final stretch home.
