NIGHT STALKER
My buddy has a solid connection within ND and he says two coaches have said 'call us ASAP if he gets canned'..not a promise they will come but a promise they are interested and will seriously consider,,,the two names........... Urban Meyer and Jon Gruden No to both of those guys...Gruden will never leave the pros. And Meyer, he can't recruit the same type of player he can at Florida...a step back big time in getting athletes.
harris5214
meyer turned down ND for UF when he took the job, but i too have been hearing meyers name for weis`s replacement, probably just speculation. meyer has been one of the best recruiters around since he has been at FL, he would have no problem at ND. Then again so was Steve Sperier and he left.
Thai Jet
IMHO I don't think they can Fat Charlie. 7 years is a LOT of $$ to swallow. Serves them right for giving him a 10 years deal. Anybody can't that old douche bag Lou Holtz defending Weiss on ESPN after the USC/ND game ? Hysterical when he got shot down by the others on the show. Thai Jet
they gotta get better scouts they get top prospects but they arent as good as they suppose to be. I totally disagree. I think the athletes they've grabbed are fine. They have a top rated class by every college prospect rateing service. They ALL can't be wrong every year. Gruden is a workoholic, and College coaching limits the hours you can work with kids, which by the way he has no patience for. he is a pro coach and always will be a pro coach. madmike1
If they don't keep Weis it could be Brian Kelly.
SouthernJet
If they don't keep Weis it could be Brian Kelly. He is solid for sure,, was the runnerup for the Tennesse job,,Tenn decided it wanted a proset coach as opposed to spread off guy,,but kelly almost won them over
PFSIKH
If they don't keep Weis it could be Brian Kelly. That would be an excellent choice. All things being equal, I think FSU you should give Bobby the boot and go for Kelly.

The question is why did he bypass the job when it was gift wrapped for him? I bet Tom Brady's dream job is to be a 49er just like Montana his teenage idol. It does not mean he is going to do it because he is in a great situation.
