Harris ready by SF game?

Bowens has played well until yesterday and we havn't missed Harris at all. Now after one game we can't wait until he returns. I too hope he is ready to return because it showed yesterday that Bowens isn't a long term answer.

Bowens has been OK, but I think jumping out to quick leads in the past five games has been a factor in no one running too well against us. Yesterday, with the Broncos having the early lead, they had the luxury of mixing things up and the Jets could not deal with it. With or without Bowens. Harris will help a lot.

Who cares, you won't see a difference in team defense. We need an LB that can cover a TE.

This is a good point although I think Harris will help. But (and I can't blame the Jets for this) they spent the offseason working on getting a pash rush and defending the run. And they are definitely being exposed by teams that spread it out.

I would have to watch the game again but it is frustrating because Revis had another good game. They are consistently getting torn apart underneath.

That's right, because in reality we're playing a 5-2, not a 3-4. We have 2 DEs at OLB. 1 is OK, 2 is not good because you can't cover the TE out of the backfield well.

That's another thing that bothers me about this CS. They take guys that are good at one specific task (seemlingly run stopping throughout the front seven) but then ask these guys to play soft and not attack the QB or RB.

It's to the point of mind blowing, these guys get paid to tell a former defensive end to cover Scheffler on a seam route? The hell kind of thought process are they using?
