If the players can't get up for the game on their own, no idiot screaming on the sideline is going to make a difference. "Fire" as you guys call it on sunday is meaningless. During the week at practice is another story, AND you guys have NO IDEA what happens during practice.

Just because he isn't jumping up and down doesn't mean he's not behind you. How you make the jump between the screaming and yelling and being into is is just mind boggling. I played professional sports... granted, not on the level of the NFL, but if you think I cared if our manager got into the umpire's face or if he just sat in the dugout, you're kidding yourself. Why do you think Herm was able to put together some winning teams in spite of being a moron? He got his teams excited and pumped up! You do realize the JETS lost to the 49ers today right? and a BIG reason was having a coach that lit a fire under the players asses... but not in the "watch yourself" way Mangini does... We lost to the 49ers because we couldn't get to the QB or cover the short, crossing route game, of the 49ers. That's why we lost. It had absolutely nothing to do with our coach yelling or not. SouthernJet
I beleive some typo intimidation helps,,It can be fire and brimstone aka Tuna/Cowher or it can be icey psychotic personality aka Landry/Belichick.. But these players have tons of money, at end of day they go to caroibbean and wont ever work again,,ONLY thing u have to intimidat ethem is to yell at them on national tv and embarass them.. Simms used to say 'when we made abad play we all walked of fiels oipposite where Tuna was cause we DIDNT want to be embarassed on TV'

At least Spagnuolo knows how to run a shutdown D. A 43 D, not a 34. I would only trust him if he came in here and changed the defense to a 43, which we could do, but we would have to part ways with people like Bryan Thomas and Shaun Ellis. If you are going to fire Mangini, it has to be for someone of Cowher's elk... I don't think he should be fired. I think a DC change is in order. So if he came here and our D was bad but our offense led us to a SB victory I wouldnt complain at all. I agree that he shouldnt be fired yet, lets see how the rest of the season plays out. The problem though appears to be that Mangini refuses to make a change in DC's.
