..and pick the jet defense apart until a pass rush is generated. Tennessee made the Jet D look good with their dropped passes, fumbles, etc. Plus, the tweeners (Thomas, Pace, Bowens) playing linebacker are too slow in coverage.

Because of this, the offense has to have sustained drives and keep them off the field.

Sorry, I know I'm preachin' to the choir here.....

No matter how good the coverage nobody could cover with the amount of time the Jets give with their inept pass rush. They constantly use the same blitz's without coming with something different. It would have been nice to see a blitz from Harris or Barton. There is no ingenuity from the game plan standpoint or in-game modifications and adjustments.

Other than the 49ers of the 80s and 90s--who had Hall of Famers and Immortals at most skill positions--I have never seen teams just connect so effortlessly with passes on crossing routes. There were numerous times--often in third and seven situations--that receivers, running backs, or tight ends were totally alone in the flat for an easy first down pickup. What's insane is that Sutton never changed up how we played them in these situations. We're not talking about Dwight Clark or Jerry Rice, here. The Niners put mediocre players on the field yesterday who made us look lethargic and inept all day.
